As an avid strategy gamer I was looking for something new and casual to play and I cam across Warzoom. It's hard to even call this a game. What it actually seems to be is a power point presentation explaining the rules and how exciting and cool this game is and a vehicle to sell skins from 99c to $2.99 It talks about being a conversion from the hit board game warzoom. I'm an avid board game collector (and nerd) Warzoom was a French made WW2 skirmish rule set for miniatures released by Aron Clement in 2012. This is not that game, and the actual game called warzoom was far far from being a hit. The splash screens appear to be artwork from other games . After a quick google search the images used on all of the splash screens are taken directly from War Thunder. I'm not surprised that the artist who supposedly worked on this project has disabled comments to their game review and put their profile on private. I would imagine if Gaijin Entertainment somehow find this it will be copyright struck immediately. There is no solo mode, apparently its "coming soon" The game lobby is empty so no multiplayer This just seems to be a vehicle to sell skins for 99 cents to $2.99 each. I read the positive reviews and I'm not sure how they could have written anything positive at all - there is nothing to play. The characters and skins you can "play" appear to be pre made assests I'm just confused as to how and why this is even on steam, all that seems to work is the buy a skin option. Don't even waste your bandwidth or disk space to download this, its completely pointless. Unless you want to buy skins for a game that appears not to exist. The publisher / dev team have used assets ripped directly from a popular video game. Used a name from a game they obviously do not own. Then claimed that warzoom is from the hit board game. I don't know for sure if this game is a purposeful scam or a game made by kids who don't know any better. Edit : 12/16/24 Now the dev is asking people to go to an external site outside of steam to play. I wonder why that is. As of today the game still does nothing but push in app purchases.

I will preface this by saying that this game is complete trash. It's not playable by any means. I will also state that being a fellow game developer, using assets that you did not purchase the rights to is illegal to do. I saw assets used in other war games as well as music that is not copyright (or royalty) free. The game's current reviews are fake and do not actually reflect the game itself or its gameplay. They are reviews from the artists and generally fake to help bolster its overall score. So, onto the review of the game itself... The game is made using Unity (A free version) as the intro slate suggests. The menu is not properly play-tested and broken from the get-go. If I navigate to an exit window, and decide to hit "cancel", I am brought back to the main menu but now no longer able to proceed forward into the game, it just stuck in a loop forever. Okay, so I close and re-open the game. I go to start to play the game, I keep trying to click to start the game, it errors out over and over again, after about 20 clicks I'm finally able to proceed into the next menu which allows to (once again play the game, or play a tutorial. I go to click on to play the game, I am then FORCED to consume a tutorial which is nothing more than a huge "power point" style presentation about "how awesome this game will be" and doesn't provide any sustenance as to what the game actually is! And this leads me to another big point. I checked out this game also on youtube as well as its incredibly failed kickstarter and nowhere anywhere in any social media platform does the creator of this game actually TELL you what this game is about in a concise way. The creator just goes on and on and on and on about things. Things that don't hook up or make sense or tell about what the game is or the game's actual gameplay or the point or objective. That is a crucial game design mechanic. You can't have a game if you don't know what it is, or could tell someone what it is. For example, take StarCraft, in one sentence I can tell you what it is: "It's a realtime strategy game about three opposing forces all wanting the same goal." However "WARZOOM" I have absolutely NO idea what it's about but apparently the creator says there's expansions (which you have to pay for?) So when I finally get to playing the game, guess what? I can't play it after all BECAUSE IT'S NOT DONE. So this entire "Game" is just one big presentation thing? I don't think this qualifies as Steam content, let alone a game. I just don't get why this exists and why the creator reveres this mess? Apparently as he quotes, "WARZOOM created in 1987 became a hit board game. WARZOOM is now coming to PC, Laptop, Tablet and Smart Phone." I have literally found nothing about that. Anywhere. Warzoom doesn't exist in the real world other than in this guy's head and maybe a friend or two he might know. Where's the hit? where's the awards? Where actual GAME. There's absolutely nothing. That's called lying sir, it's deceitful and it's scummy. The fact that this game is offering in-game payments for content that doesn't exist is a huge violation of Steam standards. On top of the stolen assets. On top of the lying. On top of the fake reviews. On top of it not even being a playable game. You sir need to really re-evaluate yourself and your efforts if you think this is some "BIG HIT" with nothing to show for it. I'll be following up with Steam to flag this content as fake / scam content.

Hello, I was the artist for this game, all I can say is that it was an experience lol
Fun game, wish it was more popular. Its kinda like advance wars but the dice rolls for range make everything feel way different, and the triangle warp points are fun, warping my submarine onto land surprised me and felt cool, ended up right by my generals so i could hide behind it and scan sonar every turn :D
ts ♥♥♥♥ so tuff, please add more mines per map so the chain explodes everything 💥💥💥💥💥🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
