In the near future, humanity faces an aggressive biomechanical civilization determined to consume all forms of life. Frontier planets turn into battlegrounds where war cyborgs, heavy machinery, and bio-engineered beasts clash for every meter of territory.
Players take the role of commanders who can both lead armies from above and personally enter the fight by controlling hero-units in real time. Your mission is to hold the invasion, build your defenses, and turn the tide of the conflict across large-scale ground and space operations.
Worlds fall. Armies evolve. The future is decided in WARSHIFT 2.
WARSHIFT 2 is a sequel to the original WARSHIFT game, that is developed entirely by a solo developer - Cyril Megem, who is both game designer, artist and programmer in this project. He worked hard for many years to implement a lot of his and the game community's ideas.

Reviews
The game is beautifully made and fun to play. The art style of the game is very appealing. The game gives you the feeling of conquering other worlds. The unit transformation system is also impressive. Everything feels polished. Also, this game offers something pleasantly unique. As the commanding general, you can join your troops on the battlefield and inspire them. It quickly pulls you in, and you might build a few new neural connections while playing
Machines wired for war vibes in the best way plays great looks great, really loving it so far

The controls are the real win here. Usually when a game tries to do both strategy and direct robot control, one half ends up half-baked. Not here: you build your base, send the army in, spot a fight going bad on the flank — hit a key and you're down there yourself. With a gun. Instant, no loading. Optimization surprised me too. Dozens of units on screen, explosions, orbital strikes raining down, and the framerate just holds. For a game this scale made by one guy, that's genuinely impressive. And the gameplay just pulls you in. Volcanoes, water, space, different heroes, tons of weapons, and skirmish vs AI you can grind forever. If you loved the old RTS games and want some actual action in them — just buy it.
is there ANYTHING new in this "sequel"?
TAKES 2 MINUTES TO COMPLETE A MISSION WHATS THE POINT NO FUN AT ALL
Its cool but feels a bit more like early access.
you should probably send some rts youtubers a key. its kind of a slow starter but has some interesting possibilities like upgrading your mech in between missions and shooting stuff yourself.
There's a lot of stuff I like here but I feel like it's missing something. I think it might be the Campaign... it just comes off real dry and doesn't really draw you in. Everything else feels nice. Something I would definitely want to take the time learning. The problem for WARSHIFT 2; is that it's in a tight spot in the market and that goes for ALL RTS games in 2026. There's just SO many good RTS games coming out this year... I just don't have time for WARSHIFT 2. One I'm currently playing is ZeroSpace, which is top dog right now. Another one coming out is Dust Front RTS which has an amazing DEMO. WARSHIFT 2 is good but it lacks the character that games like ZeroSpace has.. the missions in WARSHIFT 2 lack purpose. This is still a good game with a good SALE price ($14.99), so I'm going to recommend it... I just don't have time for it right now. So I'm going to have to refund it. Perhaps I'll pick it up during a better Sale. This game is still a good option if you don't want to spend $40 bucks on ZeroSpace, which is why I'm still giving it the THUMBS UP. I play some of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtV5z-5GPZU
