In the near future, humanity faces an aggressive biomechanical civilization determined to consume all forms of life. Frontier planets turn into battlegrounds where war cyborgs, heavy machinery, and bio-engineered beasts clash for every meter of territory.
Players take the role of commanders who can both lead armies from above and personally enter the fight by controlling hero-units in real time. Your mission is to hold the invasion, build your defenses, and turn the tide of the conflict across large-scale ground and space operations.
Worlds fall. Armies evolve. The future is decided in WARSHIFT 2.
WARSHIFT 2 is a sequel to the original WARSHIFT game, that is developed entirely by a solo developer - Cyril Megem, who is both game designer, artist and programmer in this project. He worked hard for many years to implement a lot of his and the game community's ideas.

well ive done a small walk around the ice berg. and im happy it basically completes the first game and builds in some extra. its a game style ive always appreciated. and now that i have more then the complete article im definatly going to enjoy this for a long time. the a.i. is even harder witch is awesome. and if i can convince anyone to play. it poses a unique challenge of gameplay that cant really be handled by your average casual gamer. pulling all the stops will have your brain running full blast. and strategy games like this kinda break new ground i wish we had more.
The game is completely devoid of proper game design. It feels unfinished, raw, and poorly developed. As for the campaign, I honestly have no idea why they even made it. It’s an absolute nightmare. Either a mission lasts 2–5 minutes without any real depth or anything interesting happening, or it turns into an incredibly tedious mess where you get killed by eight bugs, wait for the respawn, and then drive around in a poorly implemented vehicle with the camera permanently attached to the bumper. As a result, the camera gets thrown around every time you hit a bump. And the funniest part is when you’re trying to escape from an enemy while firing at them, but you can’t see anything, while the enemies somehow don’t go down after two shots. Instead, you have to shoot at them for 15–30 seconds, during which you inevitably manage to crash into some random wall. The core mechanics of the game are clearly designed around PvP battles, but there isn’t even a multiplayer mode! Let me explain. The game combines classic RTS mechanics, where you build a base and produce units, with RPG elements where you directly control and upgrade your mech/monster. And somehow, the whole thing feels like playing a MOBA. You can build barracks that automatically produce units, which then follow their lane toward the enemy base. The idea itself is actually really cool, but the execution is absolutely terrible. The game’s sound design is unpleasant. There are these old, outdated laser sounds that go pew-pew, which are honestly more funny than immersive. The music seems to live its own life as well. When you pause the game and then unpause it, the music simply jumps to a completely different track. The combat, shooting, and overall battle experience feel completely lifeless. I don’t feel the impact of firing my 45mm cannon at all. You’d think a 45mm cannon would pack quite a punch, but it barely does any damage. I honestly don’t understand what the weapon is even supposed to be useful for. You call in an artillery strike, expecting something powerful, and instead you get these tiny little mushrooms popping out of the ground. Bugs are everywhere, along with countless things that simply don’t make any sense. Overall, I genuinely hope the developer improves the project. I really like the concept and the idea behind the game, but unfortunately, the execution is very poor.

My honest review as not frequesnt RTS player but this one got me! { Graphics } --- amazing! 9/10 { Gameplay } --- great! 8/10 (had to really finish tutorials) { Story } --- allright for RTS! { Audio } --- good! { Difficulty } --- hard! { Grind } --- some! { Price } --- worth it! { Bugs } --- seems fixed since launch { ? / 10 } ---9 out of 10!
Im big fan of RTS genre and its sad that we do not have many of them. This one in particular exicing with control units in first/third person view, the first that gave me that experience and it was amazing! This game is best of both RTS, action and RPG! (And all this was done by one man!)
Imagine command and conquer tiberium wars with a bit of a twist. You get a commander that you can upgrade and use throughout the battlefield to build and fight. The Devs have enabled a third person mode to the commander that looks absolutely beautiful. I would rate the game a solid 8 out of 10. Devs can improve a few things here and there but so far its really good :)
Honestly, and this says something, I can't tell the difference between Warshift 1 or 2. Its not a bad game but I'd without question say if you own 1 skip over 2 But I'm not going to recommend any of my friend by this game unless it gets MAJOR updates
such a good rts , i love blowing ♥♥♥♥ up so satisfying this game deserves so much more i really wish it success!
Didnt play the first one, but this one seemed really fun. tried it out. its an enjoyable RTS. But still needs some polishing. FPS drops to 30-40 in TPP mode. not with all vehicle but most. Pathfinding needs work. units get stuck and remain ther until you wiggle them out. its a 6.5/10 at its current state

The controls are the real win here. Usually when a game tries to do both strategy and direct robot control, one half ends up half-baked. Not here: you build your base, send the army in, spot a fight going bad on the flank — hit a key and you're down there yourself. With a gun. Instant, no loading. Optimization surprised me too. Dozens of units on screen, explosions, orbital strikes raining down, and the framerate just holds. For a game this scale made by one guy, that's genuinely impressive. And the gameplay just pulls you in. Volcanoes, water, space, different heroes, tons of weapons, and skirmish vs AI you can grind forever. If you loved the old RTS games and want some actual action in them — just buy it.
