*Updated Review as of 9/27/22* v2.12.9 There's no longer VR Moba competition. Most devs have bowed out or shifted course to a new genre. It's unclear if VR Moba fps games will ever take off. They didn't do so hot on flatscreen either. But here we are, with Warriors of Titus (used to be called Dead Shot Heroes), the last game standing. Updates since the previous review: -New maps -New Heroes -New abilities -New mechanics -Coop Challenges -Modifiers to make your own custom modes I am thankful that I got to play this game at its peak with some crazy tournament play in captain's mode. It truly helped show off that this game can hold up on that kind of level. Is the game too complex for most VR users new to try this out? Maybe. The genre itself is one of the more complex genres and adding VR on top of that isn't making anything easier. Does that stop it from being fun? Of course not if you're willing to take the time to learn a character that interest you. At this point if you're somehow reading this review. Buying the PC version is just getting you the visually fancier version of the game. If you have a Quest 2, you can play this game for free from the applab store. *Updated Review as of 7/7/20* v2.3.5 There's really only 3 VR Moba style games currently battling. Cradle of Sins/Megalith/Dead Shot Heroes. CoS came out of the gates swinging and promising the world and in the last 6 months haven't heard a peep or an update and their game is still really early access. Megalith had the big guns behind them being made from developers with AAA experience... launched their game, patched it a couple of times and continue to ignore the community. DSH has done nothing but get better. -Bots with varying difficulties -Crossplay with flat screen, pcvr and quest -Leaderboards -Achievement system -Store to buy new guns/skins with the credits you earn in game -One of the few games that you can run at 144hz, max settings on index no problems -New map with multiple lanes -New Heroes added that play with some of the fun things that VR brings to the table and different play styles. -And after following this game for over a year, a crazy passion from the dev to take all the feedback they can from the community and continue to make DSH better. *v1.0 review* Great foundation to work with. Love to play a Moba in VR. Multiple classes to pick (and he plans to add more!) Lots of ways to approach a battle. Dev listens to feedback and the game is only getting better. Really requires communication like a real Moba should Oculus support is getting better (snap turn added on joystick). Keep the udpates coming!
An amazing VR MOBA. Very well put together and addictive game play. It offers the perfect balance of strategic game play without being overwhelming. The online player base is very welcoming, but even playing solo against bots is very satisfying. Be sure to check out the discord channel where the dev is extremely active and responds to player input. You'll also get a sense of when people are generally online and looking for match. There is a tiny bit of a learning curve when you first start, but it's not significant and is definitely worth it. The heroes play very differently, so try a few if you're not initially convinced. If you've tried MOBAs before but got turned off by the toxic community, then you should definitely try this as the players are great! The demo has a lot of content and an easy recommend to check out. Performance is excellent. I have sub-VR specs (only have a GTX 770) and this game still runs great! There's lots of VR movement customisation and HUD configurations. There was just recently a large update that adds a new map and expanded bot features. Not sure why this game doesn't have a larger following. I think if the right people promote it, this game could be big!
There's a lot to consider when playing, which is great for a MOBA. Only played on oculus VR so far. The dev seems responsive to feedback and the game is only getting better.
Keep the updates coming. This game gets better with each one.
First I play demo and then I wait for final game. It is funny and very fast game. The bots in game is fast and it is good. When I played the game with friends it was very fast and funny as something Dota 2. I would like to try in virtual reality. It must be perfect.
This is a golden gem of a game! It's great fun, especially in VR, but works in non-VR as well. It's a "capture the flag" type games with all manner of special effects and very good sound and voice effects. The controls work well and are easily learned. - played on an Oculus Rift.
A 1st person VR MOBA. -There's nothing else out there like it -Built for VR but works without too -Constant developer updates -Can practice with bots -A lot of fun with friends
Had a great time playing this game. The different classes are distinct and provide a good amount of variety. Strategy is key and each game felt like a challenge to accomplish, but in a good way.
This game has become really good fun! I have had it since the beta version and it has come a long way. I don't have VR so I just play on my puny 13" Macbook Pro and it runs quite well even with the integrated graphics. I assume you need better HW for VR but can't comment on VR performance. There are not that many players online yet but if you organise a match with your mates it is pretty good. You can see that it is a work in progress from the frequent updates. The upside of that is that you can request features and there is a good chance that they will get in! Over all, I think it is pretty good, especially if you want to train your agility -- a lot of stuff going on in game; lots of targets to shoot. I have played 75 hours so far (yeah, I'm not a gamer) and I keep enjoying it :-)
Un MUST HAVE en VR.
