Wir stehen auf einem Hinterhofbasketballfeld mit nur einem Korb, zwei Polizeiautos stehen in der Ecke. Warum auch immer, und warum steht auf den Nummernschildern auch Police? Ansonsten sitzen bzw. stehen ein paar lustlos hölzerne Zombiezuschauer auf einer nicht sehr stabil anzumutenden Tribüne. Um uns herum hohe Häuser in surrealistischen Farben. Alles in einer grausigen Grafik.
Riesige unübersichtliche Menüs in bunten Farben begleiten uns durch das Spiel.
Überhaupt scheint die gesamte Farbpalette auf LSD zu sein.

Jam Gods bietet zwar einen eigenen Körper, der allerdings nur irgendwie unter uns herumwackelt und nicht im geringsten mit unserem realen Körper übereinstimmt und nur stört.
Man selbst und auch die Gegner sehen aus wie lebendig gewordene 80er Jahre Posterboyzombies.

Die Steuerung ist gelinde gesagt grottig. Der Ball klebt von allein an den Händen, geworfen wird automatisch über Kopf und nimmt man den Ball mit der rechten Hand taucht er plötzlich links auf, wenn man im Menü Linkshänder ausgewählt hat.
Alles sehr konfus und nicht durchdacht. Zudem scheint die Steuerung auch noch auf die Vive-Wands ausgelegt zu sein.
Alles in allem ist Jam Gods nicht mal das wenige Geld wert, das es kostet. Das mit Abstand schlechteste VR-Basketballspiel.

Jam Gods by Static Wild is a basketball simulation.
Jam Gods promises to make us a superstar in this immersive experience, with all the tricks and gimmicks a basketball game has to offer.
We are standing on a backyard basketball court with only one basket, two police cars are parked in the corner. For whatever reason, and why do the licence plates also say Police? Apart from that, a few listless wooden zombie spectators are sitting or standing on a not very stable grandstand. Around us, tall houses in surrealistic colours. Everything in a gruesome graphic.
Huge, confusing menus in bright colours accompany us through the game.
The entire colour palette seems to be on LSD.
Jam Gods does offer its own body, but it just sort of wiggles around underneath us and doesn't match our real body in the slightest and only disturbs us.
You yourself and even the enemies look like 80s poster boyzombies come to life.
The controls are lousy to say the least. The ball sticks to your hands by itself, it is automatically thrown overhead and if you take the ball with your right hand it suddenly appears on the left if you have selected left-handed in the menu.
It's all very confusing and not well thought out. In addition, the controls seem to be designed for the Vive walls.
All in all, Jam Gods is not even worth the little money it costs. The worst VR basketball game by far.
