About
Warhounds is a turn-based tactical & strategy game, inspired by XCOM and Jagged Alliance, about a mercenary squad with an old-school action movie vibe. Command an elite team of bold, stylish operators, wage a campaign in an alternate-future Africa, and decide the war’s outcome mission by mission.
Calculate lines of fire and flank angle, break cover, and seize the high ground. Every turn is decided more by your planning and tactics, less - by RNG.
Combine classes: Assault, Specialist, Sniper, Machine Gunner, and Grenadier. Pick the right gear for the job, treat and extract, and protect key operatives. Take calculated risks. High combat lethality makes every decision count.
Recruit, upgrade, purchase equipment, and handle logistics, finances, medical supplies, and downtime. Choose allied factions, build relationships, gather intel, and execute covert ops. Your choices have consequences: your decisions determine your access to missions, gear, and allies.
Deploy drones, combat scanners, smoke, and optical camo. Upgrade and improve your kit to win under any conditions.
Knock out a mission in 25-40 minutes, or settle in for a long session. Customize the challenge: go for a brutal tactical hell or a light, relaxing run.
No point-blank misses - flank + close distance = 100% hit chance.
Real ballistics, destructible cover, vertical gameplay, and cone overwatch.
Mercenaries with character and mission-focused loadouts without any busywork.
Base management, contracts, budgets, allies, and consequences for your actions.
Assemble your squad. Take the contract. Decide Africa’s future beyond 2035.

a good work, AI seems having some tactics.
Xcom clones are nice , where is Xcom 3... Skirting around sanctions is based.
Great game! It’s a little buggy and crashed a few times, which was frustrating, but overall it’s still a really fun turn-based shooter. Hopefully the devs can iron out some of the bugs in future updates. Despite the issues, I’d still recommend giving it a try—although I’d probably suggest picking it up on sale. One thing that really bothered me, though, is the camera. The angles can be pretty wonky at times, and after you select your actions, you’re forced to watch the entire action sequence from whatever awkward camera angle was set beforehand. It can be a bit anti-climactic when you’re trying to enjoy watching your character absolutely obliterate the bad guys! Overall, though, I’m having a lot of fun with it. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy turn-based shooters. Ratings 8/10 for those of you who loves turn-based shooters.
Game is great, It scratches that itch for an XCOM like without all the XCOM BS.
I love it and if you like X-com you'll love it too
Accuracy is a joke, totally random numbers. Enemies killing through the walls WTF, total crap... Not worth to buy
First mission after tutorial and setting up your beginning "base" you get 4 units to use.. and you give me missions based on "intel" of a location op. i get 2 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ civ rescue "WeLL MabYeJD SeleCT DiFFMiSsiOn" WHY THE ♥♥♥♥ AM I OUTNUMBERED 21 to 4 IN MY FIRST MISSION! my gear isn't in any means prepared to ♥♥♥♥ all with that nonsense and you give 2 turns per cycle on 3-4 enemies spawning are you retarded?! its worth the $13.46 you can get it for on sales, it is not worth more than $15 for anything, enjoy an hour or two wait for mods and figure it out then, its basic and thats fun! but you get some excitement looking at what could be mechanics and it ends up being a wave defense game with no real objective other than survive due to it be ALSO a tower defense game, there is no stealth enemies just know where you are. Its one of those "zone complete move forward!" style PHONE GAME MECHANICS that is not great or useful at all in a Turn Based xcomlike dogwater pile. You had something cool and you just spit it out quickly.
I had crashes at launch. Wasn't happy about it. Didn't refund because I could see that the actual game underneath was pretty good. The developers pushed update after update and the latest hotfix finally solved the issue for me. Four fixes in a week is honestly kind of insane. Bad launch, but impressive response.
