About
Fear me mortals, for I am the Anointed, the Favoured Son of Chaos, the Scourge of the World. The armies of the gods rally behind me, and it is by my will and by my sword that your weakling nations shall fall.
- Archaon, lord of the End Times
The Warhammer World is fraught with foul energy, torn apart by raging battles, and condemned to an eternal war. The world is constantly on the verge of destruction. It is a dark age, an age of blood.
People have to share the world with horrible and deadly creatures, while the dark Hordes of Chaos are approaching from the North. Green-skinned, brutal and war-hungry Orcs and Goblins are invading the Empire.
Beneath the earth’s surface live the rat-like Skaven with their desire for the decay of the high and mighty of the world whilst the unscrupulous Dark Elf warriors have set off from the lands beyond the Great Ocean.
Warhammer: Mark of Chaos Gold Edition includes both the successful Mark of Chaos and the official add-on Mark of Chaos: Battle March in a single package.
Decide your own tactics, appearance, and army setup. Lead the Empire, the Hordes of Chaos, Orcs & Goblins, Dark Elves, High Elves, or Skaven across three single-player campaigns and skirmish battles.

Before Total War Warhammer, there was Warhammer Mark of Chaos. Like how Dawn of War is the game that get me into 40K, Mark of Chaos is the one bring me to Fantasy Battle. It's not the greatest Warhammer video game ever, far from it. It have some problems that never got fix. So many promises never been fulfill. But it still the most fun and faithful adaptation of Warhammer Fantasy Battle at the time. I love it so much i bought both the GOG and STEAM version. And i believe, if you love the Old World universe, you would love Mark of Chaos too. Note: If you want goodies, get the GOG version. They have the game artbook and novel.
Would have recommended, but all my saves dissapeared out of a sudden...
Гордый представитель Warhammer Classic Warhammer: Mark of Chaos — это великолепная классика.
Pretty good RTS with RPG elements, I like these kind of games. Fair warning though: you can't scale the UI, meaning tooltip text on big screens will be pretty much unreadable.
ТЫ ТАК ЖЕ ПРЕКРАСНА, КАК И В ДЕНЬ, КОГДА ИСЧЕЗЛА
Why are my save files dissapearing?
I got this game from GOG a couple years ago cause I didn't expect steam to EVER have it. I liked it then and I like it now. It runs perfectly fine just like the GOG version and my ONE wish is that this game had working online multiplayer. Gem of a game that makes me wonder what could've happened if it was an even bigger success in the past. Like would we have gotten the undead as a faction? Dwarfs? I dunno but it would've been cool. Only downside is the Orc campaign is pretty bad due to Dark Elf stealth missions. I have no idea why they thought having stealth missions in an RTS was a good idea.
when there was no total war warhammer then it would be amazing but for now there is no point in playing this game.
One of the most underrated and best RTS games ever made! Before the Warhammer Total War trilogy, we had this game! This game also still has one of the most legendary trailers ever made! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNFGJQIW5ZM
This is my first time playing this game, and I have to admit that for a game from 2006, it plays really well. Of course, the graphics and voice acting are clearly from 2006, but the gameplay can easily hold its own against the Total War games. Building up my little army reminds me of Kingdom Under Fire and gives the impression of assembling my own group of mercenaries. I love that you can assign heroes to units; this solves the potential problem of characters having excessive durability (a problem that exists in WH:TW). Unfortunately, the game sometimes has issues with unit groups when you try to position them, even on flat terrain. So far, I’ve had a really good time; the game is worth the price, and I’m glad it’s back on storefronts.
