Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Truly an underrated, fun strategy game; but not for everyone. Go in knowing what to expect and you can have a great time with a novel take on RTS. It ISN'T a "classic" RTS Dawn of War 1 or Red Alert but in AoS (sadly, that would be amazing), so don't go in expecting that. If you come with fresh eyes its still a very fun time! It's very fast paced. A huge amount of effort and love has clearly gone in, the game looks and sounds great, has a ton of modes and a great story. It really captures the "Era of the Beast" look. The combat is fast and tactical, it's like how most RTS games play at a high level. You can't "turtle" or build huge forces in your base, you need to move you Rock/Paper/Scissors units around to take points quickly, keep an eye on them, use powers and retreat. The resources are tight (abilities use them) and its reasonably frantic. The factions are decently different. There is basically no base building, just upgrading command posts. Honestly I struggle with most RTS games online, I like playing against AI or friends, but the sweaty fast online "click-per-second" play is not for me. This game forces that somewhat, but also makes it easier to carry out and sands off the sharp edges that make that kind of play near impossible for more casual players. So while I would have loved Dawn of War AoS-Style, this is a great example of trying something new in the genre. And you really cant fault the amount of content or the quality of the presentation here.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 29: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 11 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Still giving this a like as an AoS fan! Sadly this game is just not that enjoyable. It is areal rough 6/10. What is worse, the campaign is just absolutely ruining the experience. You can see in the achievemnts how less and less people actually finish the campaign! And now I am in the second sneak mission, the one for the kruelboyz, and it is maybe the worst RTS campaign experience I have ever witnessed.
I want to like this game so bad, but I have to be honest with you guys. It's really bad. It's janky as hell and has overly simplistic gameplay you would expect from a F2P mobile game. It's VERY basic; even something simple like disengaging your units is discouraged and impossible without spending command points or whatever. Once your units are committed, they fight to the death. I can't understand this design choice at all. It's like the devs were against micro-skill or something. Which is so strange because they're pushing this game like it's a competitive multiplayer RTS. But all the RTS elements are awful or just nonexistent; it's slow, it's tedious, and it's just so boring. Everything about this game is dumbed down to the point where you basically click your way across the map and capture waypoints. It's really too bad. This game has the building blocks for an incredible game and they would have knocked it out of the park DoW2 style, but its just so simplistic and bare bones. I bought this game on a deep sale and I still regret buying it.

I tried this game on PS5 at first, and the controls with a controller are just not great IMO. Bought this on sale for less than $10 here for PC, and it is a MUCH better experience. If you give the game a chance, it can actually be pretty fun; however, with only four factions, and with relatively limited rosters compared to what is currently in the lore, there is a lot of missed potential with this one. Perhaps the lack of new additions is a reflection of how the game's sales have turned out; a pity, since I've been enjoying Conquest, Skirmishes, and the 4 missions I have played in the Campaign so far. Buy on sale and give it a shot, since at this price, it's more than worth it.
This is a hard game to rate, I love the setting and the lore. But the gameplay is quite slow for an RTS. Its a nice game to play on steamdeck on a flight when you have lots of time to kill. But playing it on my desktop I find the pace of the game a bit frustrating. I think it has potential, so a sequel with some quality of life improvements could be a very good game.
Good isn't good enough. In my twelve hours of gameplay, this is the conclusion I kept coming back to. We could speak of the simplified RTS mechanics, the slow movement and melee lock-in, the cookie cutter story - why, if you know anything about any of the Warhammer settings, you'll know the wizard's plot arc end from the very start... but no. You don't need the fine details, even if I could keep talking. You're a busy person, so I'll keep it short. Realms of Ruin is a game that's all around good, but never great in the bits that matter. In fact, I'd call out only two things which this game is great at: the army painter, and the cutscenes. Everything else is thoroughly competent, workmanlike, and little beyond. This just isn't enough to appeal to people, and "people" probably includes you, reader. I'll give one concrete example: the voicework. Nice, well voice acted, proper variety of British accents, yeah, yeah. But you've played Dawn of War if you're reading this, have you? Even if you haven't, there are good odds you have a couple phrases stuck in your head. "Witness your doom! The cadre will crush them. EVEN IN DEATH, I STILL SERVE." Classics like that. None of voices Realms of Ruin has to offer stuck like that. Not enough intensity, not enough silliness, not... enough, which is a bleeding shame for a setting as larger than life as the Age of Sigmar. At the sixty dollar price tag this game launched at, no wonder it flopped. If you can get it for cheaper, it's still an iffy use of your time unless you want to see a fraction of what the Age of Sigmar has to offer to you. Such a shame, too. Perhaps there's a world in which this game came out with a touch more commitment, where it would have grown from a competent foundation. But this is not that world.
I'm agree with the bad review, the multi is bad , the game is unbalanced and i fell like they a are no test quality before the release ( the game is so slow even for rts/rtt and you got some pic of difficulty) But the solo is not so bad, classic warhammer story with good cinématic. If you can take for cheap and you like warhammer you can have a fun on solo for 10 hours.
I wish there was a mixed review option on Steam, because this is one of those games. The game has an interesting storyline, excellent voice acting and lovely models for the different AoS units. Gameplay-wise it's basically Warhammer 40K Dawn of War II with an AoS skin slapped on - so not particularly innovative (when was the last time RTS innovated?) but decent overall. Each faction (Stormcast Eternals, Orruks, Nighthaunts and Tzeentch) feel unique with their own playstyles. I was enjoying the campaign a lot but on the second last mission, the game got stuck in an infinite cutscene after I completed approx 3/4 of the mission. I didn't feel like going through the effort to redo the whole mission (the game doesn't autosave apparently) to potentially meet the same problem again: this is the main reason for the negative rating. Didn't touch the other modes so I can't really comment on their quality. Overall my opinion is that Realms of Ruin is only worth getting on a sale for a fiver or else as part of a bundle.
