Bought the game, played it for an hour and a half and was absolutely shocked by how terrible the actual gameplay is. Don't get me wrong. Graphics, general sound design, voice acting etc are all top notch but that cannot save a game if the actual gameplay is boring, sluggish and NEVER manages to deliver the power fantasy that Space Marine 1 did manage to deliver. Buy that one instead as, even though it may be a bit dated graphically, it's the far superior game when it comes to the actual gameplay. In Space Marine 2 the melee combat is sluggish, guns feel like peashooters and even grenades don't manage to put some oomph into the gameplay. If you want to play against large groups of bugs with exciting weapons that actually make you smile and get you into the 'oh come on one more game' groove just buy Helldivers 2 instead.
