About

Begin your adventure aboard your personal, giant voidship, traveling between the multitude of systems within the Koronus Expanse, a barely charted and incredibly perilous region of space. Despite being considered a backwater of the Imperium, this region encompasses an enormous stretch of the void, filled with dangerous creatures and prodigious opportunities for profit and exploration.

Rogue Traders never travel alone. Gather your retinue of righteous heroes, twisted psykers, and perfidious xenos. All of them are ready to follow you into the darkness between the stars. They will offer you counsel, aid you in battle, and allow you to amass ever more power. In return, you can guide them through their own personal journeys, changing their destinies forever.

During quests show your subjects mercy or disdain, stay faithful to the God-Emperor, or consort with enemies of Mankind - your every decision and every act, even in character creation, is changing the in-game open world and those who inhabit it.

Slaughter the enemies of Mankind in a fully-fledged isometric turn-based tactical combat. Take advantage of cover, the environment, and careful positioning to overpower your enemies. When that is not enough - use your companion`s powerful abilities to turn the tide of battle and achieve victory even in the direst of situations. Our video game adaption of the classic Rogue Trader ruleset allows an enormous number of possibilities for you to explore.

This game is so good. It gets you immersed in the Dark Grim universe. Gameplay is great and the skills and RPG elements are excellent.
the amount of content for a wh fan is insane.
Holy ♥♥♥♥, what a monumental waste of time. The game falls of a fkn cliff after the 2nd chapter, and its all downhill from there. Littered with bugs and finished by donkeys, what a shame.
If you want to get into 40k - this is the place
Rogue Trader, on top of being a great crpg in it's own right, is also one of the greatest entry points to the broader Universe of WH40k. Unlike other greats the franchise has to offer, there's a greater focus on the lore or the "fluff" of the setting. While strategies like Mechanicus or Dawn of War give some information about the factions they present us with, to establish the motivations and their basic doctrines, and action games like Space Marine focus on telling a self-contained story, Rogue Trader dives deeply into several factions and dogmas present across the Imperium, across a long narrative experience. Outside of the dive into the lore from a new perspective, as a Rogue Trader, instead of the usual space marine/mechanicus shenanigans, the game introduces characters from all works of life, from agents of the Mechanicus, to the crew of a voidship, to even aliens, each having an impact on the story and the wider world in their personal quests. The mechanics are easy enough to grasp. Unless you venture into the game at the highest difficulty, you will experience a great and satisfying growth in power and aptitude (and will most likely end up with some overpowered characters). If you want to dive deeper into the system, that's also an option - the game presents you with a multitude of combinations of skills, classes and abilities, as well as hundreds of different weapons, armors and miscelaneous items to synergise with them. The music is well-crafted, from hymns blaring within official Imperium institutions and catherdrals, to unnerving ambient sounds of abandoned planets and the bowels of the ship. Voice acting is generally great, with one caveat - only most "important" conversations with prominent characters are fully voice acted. The graphics are decent enough and the environments and backgrounds are generally well-made. There's care put even into creatures that make an appearance once or twice during the entire 60-or-so hour game. There are bugs and glitches, but, in my expierience, they are relatively small and adressed by patches. At the point of writing this review, DLC3 has released, and the initial problems plaguing the game are mostly gone, and those that are not gone are mostly fixable by reloading a recent save or turning the game off and on again. Every DLC so far is worth it's price, providing about 6-12 hours of additional content (for the initial playtrough), as well as new party members, encounters, classes items and mechanics to spice things up, woven into the original story very well. In conclusion - Rogue Trader is a great game if you know a little bit of the lore and want to get deeper into it, or if you just want a unique and fun crpg to play. If you're unsure - the base game is enough to have good fun in before diving into the story DLCs.
Классный отыгрыш, но буквосодержащий сюжет и отказывающаяся быть удобной, и понятной прокачка, оставляют желать лучшего

very good
Probably the best turn based RPG i have played. Deep atmosphere, storyline and skill tree. Sure, like every game there are some cons, but that wouldn't keep me from replaying the game.
Fun game. Took a while for me to get into it though. It felt like a slog at the start and started to feel more fun as I continued playing. I enjoy story games.
