About
A violent incident in the outer colonies threatens to cast T'au against Humans again. The great leader Ko’vash—one of the Ethereal caste—has been abducted by Imperial Warriors
The battlefield is spread across a thousand different worlds. Powerful armies of Space Marines, Imperial Guardsmen, Chaos forces, and T'au warriors are in constant conflict, unleashing carnage via mechanical war machines, crushing artillery, and vast starships.
Fire Warrior follows one day in the tumultuous life of a young T'au warrior who must battle alone against a force that shows no mercy: the Imperium. The T'au will soon learn there is a darker foe at hand and become entangled in a frightening story that leads them through an ongoing war.

The age shows and lack of music leaves much to be desired. For the chance to play as a Tau in 40K is still fun. Definately needs a remaster.
Really fun gameplay that kind of reminds me of a beta version of Republic Commando. I've seen a lot of people complain about it, but it's honestly worth the playthrough. The weapons are fun, as are the enemies and map designs. The only actual issue that I experienced was how quiet the voice lines were.
So I'll get it out of the way. This game has not aged immensely well. The AI is moronic half the time, the checkpoints are abysmal and made worse the further you get into the game, and that mouse sensitivity is.... yeah. I was fighting the game more than the enemies of the Greater Good because of that ♥♥♥♥, which as of this review still hasn't been fixed despite them mentioning it's on their radar. The gunplay is also made worse between the weapons feeling weak, and that pesky mouse sensitivity which is made worse since you lose accuracy if you get hit, so the two combined together made certain segments feel absolutely awful to play. Despite my gripes with this game, I'm still thankful it was made available thanks to the lovely chaps over at GOG. I played the first two or so missions back in the day on the PS2, so it was nice to fulfil my younger self in finishing this game. Was also nice playing this game and recognising a lot of the voice actors as a Brit myself, like the fantastic Tom Baker serving as this games narrator, or the gargantuan Brian Blessed as the Imperial Admiral. Even the ugly ducklings of this franchise deserve to be preserved. One of this games greatest sins, outside of the fact it was given to a developer who predominantly made dancing games (seriously what the Hell were they thinking) is that this game makes me wish we'd get another T'au focused game. Likely due to the lukewarm response to this game and the slow but steady focus of Space Marines being the face of 40k, we haven't had another T'au themed game, with them pretty much just being relegated to showing up in expansions for games like Dawn of War, Gladius and Battlesector. Imagine the things a modern Fire Warrior style game could incorporate, like us using Battlesuits in the same vein as Titanfall or Doom the Dark Ages, or actually including the T'au Auxiliary races like the Kroot, Vespid and even finally giving ones like the Tarellians an on screen depiction that isn't a damn Chaos Space Marine mini.
its fun
I NEED a Tau wife NOW
