Game basically no longer works on modern hardware

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

🎮 Reseña de Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Anniversary Edition

[th]Aspecto[/th][th]Puntuación (0-10)[/th][th]Comentario[/th]

Jugabilidad8ETR táctico y agresivo; si te gusta pensar bajo presión, brilla.

Dificultad / IA7Castiga errores y exige control fino; no perdona distracciones.

Really Different from the first series of games, but in a good way. You don't control a base anymore, just squads, but the squads level up. I don't know why I never played this until now, but I'm glad I bought it
Can't even open the game - just immediately goes into 'fail to respond' and the game never opens, locks up my whole PC until I shut it down again in task manager
I not too long ago, like a year or so ago became a fanatic about Warhammer and i definitely will be there the day it finally get's on the big screen if done the right way. But i never thought i actually would be into RTS games but because of Dawn of War it's become another favorite game genre of mine. While having become one of my favorite games of all time, definitely finding a physical copy for this.
I've played the original DOW2 back when it was first released, and it was my first introduction to the WH40k universe. Now, I still consider the original DOW2 campaign with Anniversary Edition improvements to be the most fun campaign of DOW2, combining the tactical gameplay with the light strategic choices between the story and the time-limited optional missions. I also still see it as one of the better introductions to the Warhammer 40000 universe, presenting the lore of the factions gradually and naturally, while also making the Space Marines relatable by the story dialogues showing their human side in addition to their zeal and fury (which is rewarded with victory!)
Seems like a fun game at first but there are zero options for altering controls. So you get a guy with abilities that trigger with Q W and E but they are put in the order of Q E W. You get two guys with the same ability, but on one of them it's Q and one it's E to trigger. It adds so much unnecessary confusion which would be easily avoidable if you were allowed to adjust the keyboard hotkeys. They game expects you to be able to react almost instantaneously to changes, but gives you no help with making your keyboard more efficient. It begins to feel like a typing test that isn't fun. And it's not like you can make moves instantly either because the troops will often assume to go to the dumbest places, so you have to click 5 times to get it right. The game expects you to be able to move faster than the game controls allow. It quickly becomes frustrating and not worth the effort. And this is just campaign I'm talking about. The multiplayer is entirely unplayable for multiple reasons, but mainly the fact that no one plays it. But maybe if the game offered was actually fun or made sense, folks might want to play. The designers put so much effort into cut scenes that you want to skip immediately and very little tuning into how the game is actually supposed to be played. It's sad to see a team get so close to making a good game and them blow it on the basic details like playability.
