Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

I came back to this game after I initially lost interest in finishing when I was hardlocked into a failed campaign. I can't really recommend it, but if you like 40k turn base combat it's not terrible. The warp surge system that triggers when the meter is full isn't a bad idea, but some of the modifiers are just stupidly unfair. If you get the no healing, armor piercing and/or no teleport modifiers, it can make even the "easy" missions nearly impossible to win. The no healing warp surge especially should NOT last 3 turns, that one was an instant game over so often.
its good but horribly balanced, some missions are too easy some are too hard, certain builds allow you to kill bosses in one turn. doing anything to any knight requires a month+ wait time. big part of these tactic games is growing attached to your troops which does not happen if you have to keep swapping them out because: 1) the knight you were given has bad bad default abilities and resetting them takes 30 days 2) the grandmaster decided he needs your top guy for uhhhh "reasons" 60 days 3) your second best guy is being trained to become a paladin(he dies in training)

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 27: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Every other mission, after a few turns the whole game hangs at end of turn. I tried absolutely everything, found out people have been having this issue since game launched, still not fixed MANY years later. Meanwhile multiple DLCs and even a new game is coming out, but a game breaking bug making it literally impossible to play is still around. I reloaded every single mission multiple times to be able to finish, it took me 3+ hours to get through some missions that would have taken 30 min max without it. My patience ran out, it's absolutely disgusting that something like this can be left in the game for so long. Don't buy games from this studio, this is a disgrace, and voices of customers are being ignored.
The game is "hard" for all the wrong reasons: - mechanics and abilities poorly explained - cluttered UI that makes it hard to see what you are doing and does not at all help with the previous point - tires you out via slow unskippable animations - targeting cone / knockback abilities so that they have the intended result is often an unpleasant minigame, especially if any elevation is involved. I am not gona go into the ridiculosity of a single junkyard cultist with an autogun being able to trade damage vs a power armored grey knight with a storm bolter.... - you really need to suspend disbelief if you got any WH40k lore awareness going into this title. Sad. It is at its core a very good game with cool turn based fight mechanics - but is SO USER UNFRIENDLY it is ridiculous. Makes me wonder if the artificially prolonged gametime is meant to cover for the unfortunate lack of mission variety. No setting for speeding up the camera movement or skipping repetitive animations via e.g. a click is a criminal act. If the masochist in you gets through the design adversity - there's a lot to like in the game. Ain't bad for the 4$ on sale but I would be salty if I paid the full price.
This game is a collection of annyoing, tedious and irritating. If you were ever pissed at something in a similar game, this one probably includes it. It seems deveopers decided that pushing the player's buttons is synonymous with difficulty. The end result is that the challenges are definitely surmountable, but rather than feeling satisfaction, you feel hollow inside and just glad it's over. I resolved myself to complete it anyway, since there are crumbs here and there to keep your interest. Forced myself through the slog of repetitive missions and then... the final battle, like an awful, bitter cherry on top. An escort mission. The final boss is an escort mission, with your ward being targeted by the boss for execution. Not annoying enough? Well, the boss gets phases of invulnerability, when you can't stop him from doing that. To break the invulnerability you need... you escortee, who is currently being killed by that invulnerable boss. All of this is happening while you are simultaneously doing a brain dead mop-up of hordes of enemies on another piece of the map which makes this mission take hours without any real satisfaction. This is the design philosophy of this game in a nutshell.
I've never liked Turn-Based Strategy games until this. I typically play more RTS games, but this is truly something else. The animations, writing, visual style, the little bullet time cutscenes. So many well thought out upgrades, I could go on, but suffice it to say the devs obviously cared about making a very high quality game, dare I say passionate? Idk what these other reviews are talking about with XCOM, never played it... but I will say this game is hard and you will have to use your braincell(s). It does take the time to explain things if you take the time to read. I think what struck me about this game is that you wont have flawless victories, your knights will get wounded, they will die, you will lose sometimes. Its impossible to get out with all your knights alive and well, even the narrative stresses that Knights are a resource to be used. At first I was resistant to not having "perfect" victories but now I'm just happy if I get the obj finished before all my knights die. Which is pretty lore accurate and and interesting way to play. Only con is $45 is a bit steep, I think its worth it, but I'm also a 40k fan boy so... 17 hours in and many more to come!
