Players in the game will be able to play on multiple battlefields of the Maryland Campaign, from the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers where the Siege of Harper's Ferry took place, to the ridgelines of South Mountain, and to the meandering waters of Antietam Creek at the Battle of Antietam.
Additionally, players will also be able to choose from a list of regiments that fought in each battle as well as what rank to fight as, whether they want to slog it out as a lowly private, or if you want to orchestrate the carnage and mayhem as a major general.
Uniforms and bodily features will all be customizable for other players to see as you march and fight in the lines of battle according to the tactics of the period. As a General, you will operate in your headquarters equipped with a map of the battlefield and constantly receiving reports of friendly and enemy positions. Send out new orders to the regiments to move forward, or fall back - all in real time. The orders will move down the chain of command, to the Colonels, Majors, down to the Captains in charge of the individual regiments, all of whom have the option to follow the orders of their trusted commander, or rebel against his wishes and fight as you see fit.
Each map contains a period reconstruction of the buildings, farms, forests, roads, and rocks as they were in 1862 so players can fight through the streets of Harper's Ferry, in the wooded heights of Fox's Gap at South Mountain, or in the cornfields and Bloody Lanes of Antietam. Players can feel the whiz of deadly shot and shell fly by their bodies, or hit their comrades or themselves as they scream in a bloody hail from their wounds. Limbs will fly and blood will be spilt once again as Campfire Games brings the fighting of the Civil War right to the player's computer screen!
Will you heed the Union call against the traitors? Or will you fight to defend your family and livelihood with the Confederacy? You decide!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

the game is incredibly immersive and does a great job at making you feel as though you are actually fighting in the american Civil war. As far as civil war reenactment games go or even just regular war renenactment this is top tier in my opinion. The way the companies have to work together to beat the opposing army is amazing. That and the way the respawn mechanic and health works makes it feel as though the lives you play actually hold a little more weight. The game doesn't have a leaderboard or score board that records K/D so far as I know and that is an amazing detail. I barely know if Im hitting anything until Im point blank range and I feel as though that adds to the immersion considering you can hear all the bullets whizzing by and all the cannons going off. The game is amazing through and through for an Early access game this worth the price tag and I know and feel confident that the developers will continue to add to this game in meaningful ways as the Time passes. To make and incredibly long Review short for the love of God if you love the American Civil War, warfare in general, strategy or just a Real genuine good time from a game throw your money at war of rights and I promise you wont be disappointed in the your purchase
ONE OF A KIND BEEN HAVING A BLASTS SINCE IVE BAUGHT THE GAME. AND THE COMMUNITY IS REALLY FRIENDLY ON SHOWING NEW PLAYERS HOW TO PLAY THE GAME. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE
War of Rights is one of the most immersive historical FPS experiences currently available. If you’re someone who appreciates authenticity in military shooters — similar in spirit to Hell Let Loose — this game stands out for how seriously it treats realism. The formations, the pacing of musket reloads, the chain of command, the emphasis on staying in line — all of it creates a battlefield atmosphere that feels deliberate and grounded in history. What I love most is how uncompromising it is. You don’t sprint endlessly across open fields or lone-wolf your way to victory. Success depends on coordination, discipline, and leadership. When an entire line fires in unison or holds position under pressure, it genuinely feels cinematic and authentic. That said, it is difficult at first. The mechanics aren’t instantly intuitive, and the slower, formation-based combat can be jarring if you’re used to faster-paced shooters. But in my opinion, that learning curve adds to the immersion rather than detracts from it. It forces you to slow down, observe, and respect the structure of the battlefield. The community also plays a big role. Because communication and organization are so central to the experience, good officers and coordinated regiments can transform a match into something memorable. It’s not for everyone — especially if you prefer fast, arcade-style gunplay — but for players who want a historically immersive Civil War FPS with a strong emphasis on realism and teamwork, War of Rights is one of the best in its niche. If that style of gameplay appeals to you, I absolutely recommend it.
A game full of qualities, a very enjoyable game, a very historical game, i love this game very much.
Good fun
I've played a lot of tactical shooters, but none have been as immersive as this, and maybe no other game has been as immersive as this. And while the community is small, they seem very dedicated to the game. So far all I can say is that I wish it had more players. And that I am very impressed with the level of coordination between players in public servers; it's far beyond other tactical shooters. Dozens of random people spontaneously performing real-life tactics and them succeeding is a very rewarding feeling.
