Wow, it's terrible, the combat, the voice acting, the scenes, the maps, the enemies, just straight up junk.
This game has a certain B-movie charm. The contrals are janky but workable. Had no problems performing any combos. i really wanted to like it. But constant crashing sadly makes this game unplayable for me.
This game wants to be another game, but falls flat and unfocused. Resources like ammo are scarce, medkits are rare, and healing is a luxury. Also, the skill tree is shallow and barely affects gameplay. Story is a mess—3D combat, 2D anime cutscenes, random flashbacks with no cohesion. Hack-and-slash controls are clunky, unresponsive, and artificially difficult. 🚮 Don't waste your time.
Very solid game with many technical issues. The positives are the combat and the overall vibes of the game. If you want something like Devil's Third (which imo is decent), along with some unlockables and minigames, then this is for you. The negatives are the technical issues, which are many. Achievements are not working, I have to run it on compatibility mode + admin mode, sometimes the game freezes or crashes, optimization is all over the place. I give this a 8.5, but just because I'm really liking it. Otherwise, I wouldn't give it more than 6, because of the technical issues.
Style over substance in every definition of the phrase. The gameplay is janky and repetitive but every other aspect of the game is just jaw droppingly absurd in the best way possible. The Catalinaville-tier writing and voice acting makes this one of the funniest games I've ever played. For the cherry on top, the director of the game voices a character AND sings the majority of the tracks on the in-game jukebox. Why? Why not? But most importantly, who cares? Wanted Dead does not ask these questions, and just *does*, and you are just here for the ride. Enjoy it while it lasts, its a pretty short game.
Suprisingly fantastic , i mean its not perfect but the combat and vibes are exceptional so its definantly worth a playthrough
I hope you are ready for a challenge. It's actually pretty merciless in some ways. Some of the enemies are relaxed but many of them are truly out for blood! It's a pretty kick-ass XB360 style of game. It's kinda old-school and I like how it doesn't try so hard and complicate things or drag things out. It can get rough though. Not a bed-time game. The camera can get janky, so keep that in mind, but once again, that's ole school for ya. It's pretty intense and I respect that. Won't cost ya an arm 'n and leg either. I got it for an unbelievable price.
Woah, this is a unique experience. I have a hard time recommending this game to you, but something in me tells me I must give this a positive rating. I mean, there's many things lacking in this game, it's really janky for one. A lot of the times your button presses might not do anything, your hits might not hit, your takedowns button might become unresponsive oh, and, you might absolutely hate the feather-light buttery movement system. I don't blame you if that drives you away. But just put aside the technical mishaps, and you have a video game experience that you will struggle to find elsewhere. You'll miss the random ramen eating mini game with an Australian narrator that appears once, or a German karaoke song that just there for no relevant reason, or the literally 100s of cheesy John Wick style takedowns that make you feel like you're in a PS3 era game cutscene, Oh, OR the anime cutscenes that just come up during random point of the story. It's just all so strange. But in a very beautiful way. There's this thing I've heard of, it's called 'Design by committee'. It's this practice in modern AA and AAA game development that suggests all designs of a game must be made to please everyone. They must have some sort of purpose, some reason to exist. Everything should be there for it's set reason. You can think what you want of this. Maybe you think it's good, maybe bad. I think it sucks the life out of game, and too, art. This game says '♥♥♥♥ you' to that. I doesn't care, it wants an anime cutscene because an anime cutscene looks cool right now. It wants a German karaoke song because that's a nice ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ song, it wants 100s of takedowns animations because they look cool. It wants a PS3 cyborg left arm character, not because they're trendy, because they look ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool. And I love it for that reason.
