I met all requirements for this game. I thought I had a fast OS (32 gb ram, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER & using Quest 3), but for whatever reason this game lagged in VR really bad! Then my Quest3 controllers didn't work, so I never really made it passed the 1st screen. Perhaps it was the 16GB minimum requirement, idk. Honestly, all I know is the game just did not work for me.
Horrible lag
If this was a sim with an arcade mode it would be great. We are severely lacking a up to date sim MC game with VR. Still needs work but fun.
Good Game, let down by poor graphics (Looks like an old PS2 game with that blurry distance detail, which does not help when trying to learn circuits). Game requires a lot of practice to master real life circuits. Took me about 4 hours before I felt comfortable enough to get used to bike options and compete. Put in the effort and you will be rewarded! Hopefully developers can continue improving graphics and we could end up with an excellent game.
This review comes from a VR player perspective. I was really looking forward to the VRider-SBK release on the Steam platform. I really enjoyed playing this game on the Quest platform, it runs well, look great and no real problems except for the missing features like a replay system. But the STEAM RELEASE of this game in not good; it runs bad, it looks bad and has no added features. I purchased the game on both platforms (Steam and Quest), I want to support the developers in hope that they can work out the problems. NOTE TO DEVELOPERS: Have a look and learn from Vracer-Hoverbike, checkout the features of the game, the quality of the graphics and the multiplayer system. Vracer-Hoverbike development team "Get-It"; they understand what is important to the players. In short it goes something like this: 1. A full featured Multiplayer system with integrated social features so we can talk, watch replays of our races and enjoy each other presents. 2. Features like single player, Career modes and keeping stats take a back seat to multiplayer. Only develop these features once you have a quality multiplayer experience completed. As far as I'm concerned if you only had a full featured Multiplayer system that would be good enough for me. To be able to connect with friends and enjoy the game is all I'm after. Single player, Career modes and stats I could care less for because I don't have the time to enjoy them. I spend my time playing online. 3. Learn from Vracer-Hoverbike, it’s not perfect as it has no replay in multiplayer, but over-all they have done a great job. In VR it is a Masterpiece. In conclusion, I'm a fan of and like VRider-SBK, but I’ll be playing it on the Quest platform and not on Steam. However, I will be keeping my eye on the Steam Version in the hope they make it better. Currently, I do not recommend VRider-SBK on Steam, at least not in VR. Come-On VRider-SBK development team, keep your head down and your chin up; you can make VRider-SBK great. I'm pulling for you. Cheers. Recommendation Upgraded - Must Have for VR Well I've had another go with Vrider SBK and want to upgrade my Recommendation to "Must Have for VR". For some reason the game is now working beautifully on Steam. I don't know if "Steam Link" was upgraded or what has changed but this game is now very much Recommended. I played with very high graphic settings and with all the Ai riders in the races and everything look and ran fantastic -smooth and without any hiccups. I really had a good time playing this game; it was fun and exciting again. I will now be playing the game on Steam. Go ahead and give it a try - you'll love it. Features I was hoping to see by this time. A Replay System There is still no "Replay" feature so I can enjoy watching the replays of my races (both Single and Multiplayer). Hope to see that coming soon because it adds some real enjoyment to the game. A Well Thought-Out Spectator Mode Game needs a well thought-out spectator mode, so I can come into a multiplayer lobby and follow as many as are in the lobby from many different camera angles. I want to see how everyone is riding the track. I like to watch the other riders on track, then do a few laps myself and then back to watching the others while I take a break. It is fun to see how the others are getting ready for the race that will take place. I hope the game is still in development so we can see these features in the future. I'm a supporter of this game and do not mind paying for any upgraded features through DLC packages or by whatever means. So far I have purchased the game and all add-on tracks on both the Steam and the Quest platforms. Come on developers - Bring On These Features. Cheers
The game in its core is not bad by any means. However, I have one major issue with the game (plus a minor one) that ultimately makes it unplayable. 1) Performance. Even with everything set to minimum and a moderate render resolution (approx. 2500x2500 per eye), the game fails to maintain a stable 90 FPS—even on higer tier hardware. This simply ruins the gaming experience. 2) Sound. Naturally, this is always a crucial element in racing games. The audio here sounds like something from a game from the early 2000s. The sound scales only with engine RPM—nothing else—and sounds far too "tinny."
