This is absolutely BRILLIANT. It is exactly what I was looking for in terms of game play after I saw the movie pixel. Instead of centepedes it is dragons. A few points for the DEV though. I think you may need to add and option or consider and option to change where the dragons come from due to having to look straight up for so long. It would probably be better to have the portal on nearly same level as they player away in the distance and have the dragons come at you from the back to front. As my neck after 15 mins is quite sore. This will potentially stop long game plays of this and probably people would refund it. I have set my graphics as high (event super sampling to 2.0) as I can to get the game looking its best but it still needs some tweeks I think. It still doent look as good as it possibly could, which seeing this is the focus of the game you might want to see what you can do. You may want to look at the brightness on the mushrooms and the dragons and lower them so they can look better as when they first come out they honestly look like just one colour with little definition as they seem too bright and you lose what they look like. . The movement thought was hard to work out, how to move the platform, honestly the tutorial needs tweeking as it didn't give me good direction on this. The reloading, the power ups etc is brilliant. I really hope you tweek this game and do a Galaga etc. Well done and keep up the awesome work, there isn't a game like this one atm.
Another bundle game, and another "remake of an old classic" sorta. I don't want to say remake as if it was just the old game completely lifted and retooled for VR...but it was definitely heavily inspired by the old classic. So this is basically VR Centipede. For those who don't remember the old Atari classic arcade game, it was basically one fire button, a track ball, and on screen you had a series of mushrooms. From the top of the screen a centipede with several circular body segments would come down toward the bottom. If it hit a mushroom, it would stop it's progress accross the row and go down one column. If there happened to be a whole bunch of mushrooms lined up vertically, that could mean the centipede would have a fast track to the bottom. Oh and mushrooms took several hits to completely destroy, stayed in place between levels and got repaired between levels as well. Occasionally a spider would appear and bounce up and down across the screen in a zig zag pattern offering bonus points to the player based on how close the spider was when you shot it. So this game is basically that exact thing. Instead of being able to zip all across the screen with the trackball though, you're limited to driving this circular pod around the grassy landscape all while shooting glowing floating pixellated mushrooms and dragon headed centipede monster thingies. The music is ok, but I could swear I've heard it before. Nothing too great. The graphics have a kind of retro neon glow to it and is pixellated like someone drew all of it in SculptVR. The grass, your gun, and the pod aren't pixellated though, just the enemies. As you destroy the enemies they drop powerups and if you drive your pod over one, it picks it up and turns it into a crystal which can then be used to load the power into special ammo for your gun. Speaking of that, you have to reload your gun. You can't just keep firing forever, so when ammo runs out, you have to reach over, grab the sphere of old ammo and toss it away, then grab a new ammo sphere from the pod's console, load that into the back of the gun and then continue shooting. Picking up multiple spheres doesn't get you any stronger ammo nor does it give you multiples so it's use it or lose it time. There's a triple shot, a magnetic shot (?!), an explosive shot, and a couple of others. The only one I paid much attention to was the triple shot as it spread out a bit and made aiming a bit easier. Explosive shot didn't seem to take out more than one segment of the enemy at a time but maybe it just didn't look that way. Things I liked

It's centipede! I love me some centipede!
the retro pixel aesthetic is nice. Too pixellated and it would look like garbage, and too sharp and it would just look awkward. This is a nice compromise
Some of the different ammo types is kinda neat
Things I didn't like so much

Having to reload the gun was an extra chore that didn't add anything to it. I would understand needing to load special ammo but for plain shots? It's just an annoyance
Some of that special ammo didn't add much to the experience either.
The game ramps up the difficulty way way too slowly. I played for nearly half an hour and never once felt like I was in danger of losing the game.
The background was kinda bland except for a series of LED style message boards that read "YOUR ADVERTISEMENT HERE". Ugh... If they added advertisement to this game that would be an instant thumbs down. Hopefully that's a joke.
since all the enemies are above you, after a while your neck starts to hurt from looking up constantly.
So really the worst thing about this game is that it's too easy. Maybe you could teach a child to play this game and they would enjoy it. It's still kinda cool to see a VR centipede game.
I've only played one game but I already like the concept. But I do have to say, "Oh, my aching neck!" Having to look up for so long a period of time really does create alot of strain on the neck. Thank goodness for heating pads, cuz I really needed one! Since seeing the film Pixels, I always wondered what it would be like to play Centipede or Millipede just like in the movie, Now I know. Good visuals, music and fun power-ups. Really kept me moving around, so that was a plus for me. I'm hoping future updates will tackle the present need to have to constantly look up. All that neck strain would certainly put a damper on my gameplay.
http://www.83830.com/game/201612/184943755.shtml
Cinetaped in VR... This is amazing! The only thing it needs is more game modes and a "campaign" mode of some kind. Love the Tron like intro and the game play is far better than I expected it to be. One question though, the stadium seems to have ads for sale, how much it would cost to rent a billboard or text space? Just curious.
Mamy różne power upy do zebrania i wtedy nasza broń strzela innymi pociskami.
5.5 out of 10 This is a surprisingly decent budget shooter, it's inspired by Centipede from the 80's. Sure it's a wave shooter, but props for convincingly reinventing an arcade classic in VR. It's not super difficult so you won't be destroyed within 5 minutes like most other wave shooters. So why the average rating, it's still indeed a wave shooter and a repetive one at that which you've seen and done it all within 5 minutes, waning replay value beyond a couple of hours.
If you even remotely love(d) 80s games, you will love this!
