Reviewed using HTC Vive Pro
NOPE 🚧🚧🚧 HOT MESS 🚧🚧🚧 NOPE 🚧🚧🚧 All excited during that Video Intro 🚧 But this On-Rails Jogger that's got you out of scale with poorly made scenery makes no sense 🙁 FREE Ain't always Good ❌ Graphics are Blurry in my Headset ❌ My Scale is way to tall for a Human ❌ Cows smell not sure why I want to jog here Hands and Weather Effects was the only thing I liked❗️ https://youtu.be/7cUY8_PjdhU
Sometimes being free just ain't worth the room on your hard drive & unfortunately this is one of those times. Use your arms to power your speed around 3 different courses like a sort of jogging. Lots of assets and they seem out of place, like easter island statues next to the great wall. Better if more realistic courses and got boring very fast. Maybe give it a miss unless you like the idea of moving your arms about trying to beat your last time on the same 3 boring courses.

Tried it walking on the spot. As it auto turns corners and speeds up automatically down hill was feeling the old "travel sickness" after 10 minutes. The graphics are also very basic but kinda cute. It has potential but at the moment its just a another freebie that will get lost in the list of games in a few weeks time. Giving it a yes as I do see potential if worked on.

Auch wenn es kostenlos ist: So einen Quatsch hab ich selten erlebt. Mit Joggen hat das nichts zu tun. Man kann die Controller auch leicht kippen dann zählt es schon als "Joggen". Grafik aus der Hölle! Meine Kuratorseite: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/30155555 Meine Steamgruppe: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/voodoode https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJaQ8zDTIqo
This type of game really has a lot of potential, this as a game genre I hope to see more of,. This game tho just isn't done very well. It's pretty basic and the speed of the movement is way off. Also something when launching it sends CPU to 100%. Untill closed in task manager, just exiting the game still leaves stuff running in background.
VR Jogger 10 из 10
Played On: HTC Vive
VR Jogger is yet another entry into the ever growing VR fitness genre. This title comes in at the sweet, sweet price of free, as it should since there's such little content. There's one massive map and three trails that you can pick from; Short (3 minutes), Medium (6 minutes), and Long (13 minutes) which I finished in 2 minutes, 4 minutes, and 8 minutes respectively. There are all kinds of things to see, such as cows, Easter Island Heads, the outside of a castle, an ocean, a beach, and some forestry. It's just too bad that the environment is so sparse; the graphics are about on par with any given release from the PlayStation 2 era, and are some of the worst I've ever personally seen in VR. There are some okay environmental effects though, such as rain and a day/night cycle. Now I'm by no means fit or in shape, but I'm trying and in doing so I'm using a VR routine to get there. This title did very little to make me feel like I was actually exercising at all... in fact it did nothing, considering even my arms didn't get tired. All it requires you to do is to swing your arms like wet noodles back and forth until you reach the finish line. There's no support for Vive Trackers, so no way to track your feet even if you wanted to simulate actual jogging. There's also a speed cap in place that prevents you from going faster, so there's no benefit to pumping your arms super fast; a gentle swing will more than suffice. Not once did I leak a morsel of sweat, nor did my heart rate increase or my breathing get ragged. To top it all off, the screen flits, flickers, and artifacts randomly for no reason at all. Additionally, some may experience motion sickness due to the on-rails movement style. The best thing that EnsenaSoft could possibly do for VR Jogger is to clean it up, dust it off, and put some support in for Vive Trackers. Now, this release is indeed free and I am well aware of that, but if you're actually looking for VR fitness options, there are a lot better out there. Simply pairing Skyrim or Fallout VR with NaturalLocomotion will enable you to spend time walking and running through a virtual environment that is far more interesting and well put together than this. If you don't have much money, this still isn't much of an incentive to walk or jog in place to be honest; especially with the artifacting.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift and Windows Mixed Reality
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/0ZqNGROywbI I'm not sure why this game has a mixed review status on Steam. This is a good game for what it is and it's free to play. I could understand if the game was charging $20 bucks that we'd demand more than what it is offering, but for a free to play game it's actually pretty useful as long as you do your part. You could play this game as a normal arm-swinger and just swing your arms and not move your legs. In fact, the game doesn't tell you to jog, and just tells you to swing your arms to move forward. However, I think common sense just dictates that you should be moving your legs. Jog in place. C'mon it's called VR Jogger for a reason. I assume if you're playing this game then you're wanting to get a good workout. So yeah just that tiny bit of effort on your part makes a world of difference. Is this better than jogging outside? No, of course not. However, is it better than just jogging in place in your room? Yeah. Hell, it may even be better than that Peloton that charges $1,000s of dollars. The graphics aren't the best. It could definitely run smoother. I don't like that on the Oculus Rift it's a gaze navigation for the menu selections. However, it works as advertised. It even has 3 different length courses with different trails for each. Rate 7/10. I got a sweat going by the end of the long course simply by jogging in place at a brisk pace. And you can't beat the free price.
