Bon shoot'em up, rigolo a 2 et bien fichu

While this game is a great idea and has some good things going for it, there are some issues that do need to be fixed, particularly with UI and menus. When initially setting up for the first time, moreso when using a controller, the main menus are extremely hard to navigate and initial controller setup is much harder than it should be-it's way too hard to see what you're trying to select as the background keeps fading in/out and it randomly switches into and out of demo mode seemingly on it's own, and the controls don't feel as responsive as they should be. The gameplay itself generally is fine-think an attempt at mashing up Galaga & bullet hell shooters-but sometimes with a gamepad controls feel a bit too loose and could be tightened up a bit. The biggest thing going for this game is the multiplayer that allows up to 3 players simultaneously (local only, not online). There also are plenty of achievements, unfortunately if you're like me and many other players on Steam who don't bother with or don't want friends you can't get them all (some require having friends who have the game and utilizing the online leaderboards). I'm kinda neutral on this game so far but have found a couple more things that I like over what I don't like so a slight thumbs-up for now. It could be much better with a few improvements as several pieces are in place to make this a great bargain bin pickup for fans of space shooters.

Vortex Attack est un bon petit shoot'em'up à l'ancienne des années 70 et début 80 qui me fait rappeller les jeux de l'époque sur l'Atari 2600 comme Space Invaders, Centipede, Phoenix et Megamania. Graphiquement le jeu est bien, les musiques et les sons de bruitages sont corrects, la jouabilité est bonne mais il y'a quelques problèmes de lourdeur dans les mouvements, la difficulté est élever et devient progressive au fur et à mesure qu'on avance dans les niveaux et la durée de vie est courte, mais raisonable que joue à peu près une demi-heure par partie. C'est un bon petit jeu que je commande à ceux qui aiment les shoot'em'up du style des années 70 et début 80. Notes: 7/10

Riesen Beschiss, habe das Spiel gekauft.... kommt aber nix mehr an Updates, stattdessen schmeisst Kaleidos das gleiche Spiel aktualisiert als "Vortex Attack EX" auf den Markt und das soll ich jetzt kaufen um die neusten Inhalote des Spiels zu genießen. Das ist Betrug!

I have played a lot of Shoot 'Em Up since 1943 and I have to say this is up there with the best of them. Fun for vets and new newcomers well balanced for all skills and levels the bullet hell nicely even in coop. Well done and thank you to developers continue to make games like this and I will happily buy them. (Steam seem to think i received it for free but i purchased it.)

Vortex Attack: ボルテックスアタック The game is a decent bullet hell game, and it gave me nostalgia for the arcade experience. The game reminded me of some shoot 'em ups that I would play on the PlayStation 1. I did not spend a lot of time with Vortex Attack during the free weekend, but I feel I have played it enough to recommend it.
