My impressions video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQCWOG6msM4 This is a remake of a game from the golden age of Flash precision platformers, where men were men and platformers punished the weak! Alright, maybe that's a bit much, but this is a fun and challenging title that on the default difficulty, won't punish you like say, Super Meat Boy will, but will still provide a solid challenge and even more so once you try the higher difficulties. Your only mechanic is jumping and you need to use this to avoid all of the enemies and obstacles. There are orbs to pickup in the levels and you can get rewards for obtaining them all and also for beating the level under a certain time. These can rarely if ever be done together, which gives you replayability if you want to 100% things. There are six different biomes, all of which present their own obstacles and challenges. Progression is approached differently than in other similar games, in that you have to clear an entire biome to save your progress. If you bail out mid-way, you'll have to do that biome over again. However, none of the levels are very long and though it will take some tenacity to get through the tougher ones, you'll never have to spend hours on a single biome. This game is simple, but it's not aiming to be overly complicated and does one thing very well. This can be a good entry point to the precision platformer genre, as it's not as hard as many of the more famous ones, but can be if you want it to. For the price, even if you only beat the base difficulty, it can still be a good time.

Voltorometer is a well-made platformer that I had a lot of fun with, even as someone who doesn't play this type of game that often. The gameplay lives up to the tag "precision platformer", the worlds have good variations on mechanics that make them feel unique and challenging in their own ways, the music is a banger, the art style is cute and clean, and the game as a whole has a high amount of polish that makes dying 10 times in a row in the same section all the more bearable (my favorite detail is how the music muffles when you go underwater, i love it when games do that). I'm glad I was able to come across this game, even if World 2 made me want to throw my controller at my desktop :)
