Great game, but would be better if the crosshair would be a bit bigger or a brighter colour.
Amazing game , plays great on the steam deck. Needs more attention because it’s great and has the coveted “one more run” gameplay
Great Game
.
Fun incremental game with a great soundtrack
Very fun and reminiscent of Lyca. I love the music and the feel of flying
Calling this game a roguelite is a bit generous, this is more like this kind of a flash game where you play a round, die, earn some currency, and then buy upgrades which will let you progress farther in the next round. An upgrade-a-thon how I like to call it. Yeah, in all regards, this game is not that far away from a flash game, or more like, an HTML5 game from mid-2010, the only exception is that those games were free and this one is like $5. There's no story, not even a paragraph of it, the graphics are a mishmash of pixelart-ey sprites of different resolutions and from different sources, and the gameplay, as basic as it is, is quite janky, like, not much consideration was given to make the few mechanics this game's got as perfect as they could be. Normally I'd give this game a negative review, but I did willingly beat this game like 4 or so times, so it'd be disingenuous of me if I did. Perhaps that was an accidental genius, I certainly am not gonna credit the developer with implementing it this way intentionally, but this game allows for beating it with different builds. Like, normally, and during your first playthrough, you would generally strive to buy every upgrade, but there's one upgrade which benefits from having less overall upgrades bought - the upgrade which enables random drops of improvements for the upgrades you bought which last for the duration of the round, and so if you spread your upgrades out, there'd be less chances of one singular upgrade to grow to a ridiculous degree and potentially make it overpowered. And so I replayed the game multiple times, trying different builds, seeing what works and what doesn't. It just so happens to be a specific instance of jank I enjoy, and as I said, I very much doubt this was implemented intentionally, so decide for yourself if you want to spend 5-ish dollars for a slapdash clone of Asteroids
Honestly, this game is pretty good. I think that the game is lacking a bit for its price but that can easily be fixed. If you're looking for a nice, short, and satisfying game to play, this is the game for you. The music for this game is AMAZING!!! You can really hear the effort put into it and the music fits PERFECTLY with the game. Some things that I think the game could add/change to make it more worth the price are: - Make the cards stand out more against the background since they are tiny and can easily blend in - Adding more achievements since they feel underwhelming - Adding a menu option for when you are in a run to end the run early and keep the things you've collected since if I had an upgrade I wanted to get and I was a few gems short, I would have to start a run and once I got enough, purposefully die (which can take a good few seconds) Ignoring all of those things, I honestly thing that this is a pretty good game and as I said before, you should get it if you are looking for a nice, short, and satisfying game to play.
