Just a tower defense game, which is self-explanatory—HOWEVER—I feel violated, saddened, hurt, and my eyes, my poor, trembling eyes, filled with squirrelly tears, witnessing the towers SPLASHING the LEGO army of soldiers with a cruelty that would make Thanos blink twice. These towers are crueler—yes, crueler—than weapons of mass destruction, heartless beasts of machinery that rain down doom without conscience. And the little little chummy chum chums, and troopers, and hue copters, and bugbies—they FELT like little kids, just playing, just wandering around the field, frolicking, tumbling like dandelion fuzz in the summer breeze. BUT NO. Those inhumane, cold-blooded towers, with no empathy in their silicon cores, dishearteningly, mercilessly, unflinchingly turned that peaceful field into a blood-soaked battlefield of shattered dreams and melted plastic limbs. I mean—COME ON—just let those poor kids play. Toss a Frisbee. Chase a butterfly. Live, laugh, love. But no, the game says: EXTERMINATE. I wish Subatomic Studios, in Field runners 3, would make it a tower attack game instead. Let me lead the chummy chum chums. Let me rain friendship and giggles from the skies. I mean, HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE? Don’t get this game if you hate seeing kids getting cruelly murdered for trespassing. Get this game if you want to set up a defense parameter to cruelly, mercilessly, with gleeful digital malice, murder annoying pests in your backguard thing. Stupidos.

my favorite childhood game
Pretty stock-standard tower defence game with a jokesy pseudo-realistic military theme. Originally a mobile game, and it shows -- with an obnoxious level of difficulty, buyable powerups to make levels easier, and a predictably insufficient trickle of the currency required to buy them. Perfectly competent, but not interesting enough to make up for the frustration. 5/10
All these years later, the FieldRunners series is probably my 2nd favorite tower defense series behind the amazing Defense Grid games. The Fieldrunners series are great fun. Not perfect. Way too much juggling required. But even with that headache, they still manage to be great fun. In some ways I prefer the simplicity of FR1 over FR2, but I do like some of the changes to FR2. Overall, both games in this series are worth picking up, even at full price (which is good, because it's been forever since they've had any sales, not even sure if the dev team are still intact or not). This, like the first, isn't the best thing ever in the TD genre, but it is fun. And at the end of the day, that's what gaming should always focus on first.
Excellent game. Hope all the games I played also get published in Steam.
Much like many other 'golden age' mobile games like Angry Birds, Plants vs Zombies etc, here they've taken a decent commercially successful game and followed it up with an uninspired pile of garbage in a lazy cash grab under the same name. Achievements like "Play once a week, every week for 6 months" tell you everything you need to know about the clowns behind this.
