About
The gate must not fall.
Void Guard Outpost is a strategic sci-fi tower defense where you build defensive mazes, upgrade powerful towers, and defend a remote outpost against relentless enemies emerging from the void.
But survival requires more than just building towers.
The battlefield is unstable. Asteroids can crash onto your defenses, forcing you to react quickly and actively protect your towers during battle.
Once unlocked, Endless Mode pushes your strategy to its absolute limits with continuously scaling enemy waves. Every tower placement, upgrade, and decision becomes critical as the battlefield grows more chaotic.
Optimize your defenses. Adapt to new threats.
And see how long your outpost can survive.

Compare your highest Wave on the Leaderboard with friends and others.
At the moment, there are over 40 towers and upgrades that you can unlock and use however you like.

Right now, there are over 10 different active and passive abilities that you can use to help your towers.
The campaign prepares your defenses, but Endless Mode is where mastery begins.
Enemy waves grow stronger without limit, forcing you to refine your strategy and build the most efficient defense possible.
How long can your outpost hold?
Build and upgrade a diverse arsenal of towers. Combine different tower types to create powerful defensive networks capable of stopping increasingly dangerous enemies.
Control the battlefield by shaping enemy paths. Strategic tower placement allows you to create long, deadly corridors that maximize your damage output.
The void is unpredictable.
Asteroids can fall directly onto the battlefield, threatening to destroy your towers. Click incoming asteroids to destroy them before impact and protect your defenses.
Void Guard Outpost keeps you engaged during every wave. Manage your towers, activate abilities, and intercept hazards while enemies push toward the gate.
Experiment with different strategies, tower combinations, and maze designs to push deeper into Endless Mode and beat your previous survival records.
Build your defenses.
Control the enemy path.
Upgrade your towers.
Destroy incoming hazards.
Survive endless waves.
Every run pushes your strategy further.

Max - the mascot who leads you through the short tutorial - is damn cute. This way getting started with the game is easy, yet the learning curve is quite steep. I like the game because there are things to do with the level apart from just playing them once or a few times in different difficulty-settings like it is with other TDs: With every ten waves in endless-mode you get new points to level up your towers, buy new ones or get other perks to try to get farther through the waves. And with every Tower or upgrade you can change your tactics for the endless mode and can get more creative. In my opinion the game is worth every cent.
As far as unknown indie Tower Defense mazers go, this is actually pretty competant and fits comfortably in the background while you fixate on something else. It's also very bland and really only gets the bare-bone basics right, there's nothing particularly compelling about it outside of the usual stuff you'd get from playing any other mazing tower defense. Despite being competant and fine, it would take a big leap forward to really rival anything that I would recommend in the genre. There are plenty of obscure tower defense games, but the ones that do better are far more artistically and mechanically interesting than Void Guard Outpost.
Void Guard Outpost is a fairly simple tower defense game. You get maps where you create the paths for your enemies to traverse using the towers available. Long paths - better chance to win. The usual towers are offered and as you progress you can buy upgradability for them. So, it is an okay game, but I didn't find anything particularly new, innovative or exciting. I would rate it "borderline" at 5.5/10.
