From my experience so far, there's no glaring graphical or audio errors, I'm not being driven crazy by input lag and it's running perfectly Day 1 without crashes even on a Steam Deck. So out of the modern porting houses, QUByte is batting better than Bitwave, City Connection and M2. A gripe I have is that even with both master volume and individual game volume maxed out, it's still a bit too quiet. A more critical flaw is that you can't change dip settings. Average game quality of this collection is middling. Personally, Neo DriftOut does some heavy lifting. Note that the Celica, Impreza and Lancer have been reskinned. I also like Captain Tomaday enough to tolerate its gratuitous (to put it lightly) hitstop. Some omissions from VISCO's remaining Neo Geo offerings that would help broaden appeal are Bang² Busters, Neo Mr. Do! (licensed by Universal) and Puzzle De Pon!/R (Puzzle Bobble offshoot licensed by Taito). It's overkill you can add favorites and filter by genre in the main menu with only 7 games so it does feel like they wanted more. Overall, I've been impressed by QUByte ever since I played the Breakers Collection beta. If they give this release some more TLC, it will further cement their status to me.

This is a truly horrible release of mostly amazing arcade titles that I can't recommend to even the most ardent NeoGeo lovers. I for one have been waiting for some of these titles for more than a decade, and when Hamster never released them in their ACA NeoGeo series, I hoped someone else would get the license and do so, and was SO excited when I saw this release. There was a great deal @fanatical when I bought it, but had I bought this from Steam I would have returned it within 20 minutes, however sadly I am stuck with it. I believe a lot of retro gamers who buy this know the OG games, so I'd rather talk about the quality of the release, and it's so bad it's a deal breaker. The button mapping is terrible for almost every game, but you can't get around it by playing with a keyboard and using a keyboard to controller tool because as soon as a controller is detected it 100% disables all keyboard controls. I tried make custom layouts for each game in Steam and every single time when I made one for the next game, the previous game's settings were corrupted or just disappeared in some cases. OK that might be a steam bug when trying to create multiple profiles for one main title, however, if the actual game offered in game controller remapping like every other retro compilation I have EVER played does, then that wouldn't be an issue, but this doesn't. There are sometimes serious sound emulation glitch issues. Finally, there is ONE screen mode. Not even a mode to fill out the top and bottom and keep the aspect ratio and just leave bars on the side, nope, you have to have them on all 4 sides here. Even this pathetic, insulting release was not enough to fully destroy my enjoyment of the amazing Neo Drift Out, but it made all the other games very hard to enjoy, especially with input lag on top. This is a shameful waste of a collection, and there's only ONE scenario I can recommend them. IF the roms are included (I can't comment on this as I haven't checked), IF, then it's worth it to those wanting to play these games in an emulator legally. If that's the case, put the roms in retroarch in final burn neo and have an experience 100 times superior, and that's no joke. Perfect emulation, ultra low input lag, multiple view options, controller remapping on an easy per game basis. This release is pure junk ware, all because of lazy options and poor QC. Incredibly disrespectful to the source material. DO NOT BUY if you expect to enjoy the games as presented in this release, it will ruin your memory of these games. PS NeoGeo games were famous for their 8 difficulty settings. This doesn't even have a single difficulty option for any title. Just one level, I believe the default. But even that. SUCH a lazy release it's actually insulting to be on sale.

Retro arcade + 7 in 1 + controls = A nice mix of soccer, shump, beat em up, racing and fighting games. My top game is Goal! Only shooting, passing and sliding. Controller recommended.
While playing Neo Drift Out, I got to the final stage (Great Britain), and my wife started laughing. I said, "Yeah, they obviously just reused the Africa assets here." She said, "No, that's just the way Britain looks today." It took me a few seconds to process her response, but once I snapped out of the gameplay, I was, like, "...well, you got me there."
アンドロダイノスとガンリューをプレイするためにこのコレクションを買ったけど、結局フリップショットのためにプレイし続けている!
This review will be updated after playing each game. Andro Dunos - An inoffensive, not particularly interesting shoot 'em up that, for what it lacks in fun it makes up with challenge and enemy variety. Neo Drift Out: New Technology - A very difficult, Pro Am-esque arcade racer that I am unfortunately not even skilled enough to even save-scum my way through.
