VirtualHere For Steam Link

Purchased this software to run a webcam off of my Steam Link. Setting everything up was quick and easy, though I unfortunately ran into latency issues trying to run a webcam as well as streaming. Refunded as that was the only reason I bought the software, did not try it with anything other than a webcam

UPDATE: I discovered this software DOES NOT work when accessing files on Android Phones and external storage devices like a Micro SD Card reader. Sometimes it can read it (not write nor delete) but it will be very slow and will mess up some buttons on the Steam Link app (i.e. minimize, enlarge window, etc). It works with the following external devices: - Printer - MIDI Keyboard - USB Sound Card I was also NOT able to make the Android USB Server version (free) of this software work with my Mobile Phone. For lack of a better alternative solution, I still can recommend this software but only for the use cases above. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Yeeey! My [b]MIDI Keyboard[/b] worked by simply plugging it into one of the USB ports of a [b]Steam Link[/b] hardware and "sharing" it through the Steam Link [b]VirtualHere[/b] Settings screen. I just hope they fix the abnormally enlarged [b]VirtualHere[/b] app window in Windows 11 when accessing through the client. I still had to press ALT+Tab just to get to my Desktop with normal view. An [b]Inkjet Printer[/b] connected through USB port of the the Steam Link also worked flawlessly. I am now looking for a way to receive audio from the Steam Link hardware through USB port and connect that to my 5.1 Speakers. Even if this software works, I felt the price is expensive for what it is. Maybe if they include the unlimited device connections, regular price would be fine.

Идея - хорошая, реализация - дерьмище. --- Программа будет работать только в локальной сети, ЛИБО если Steam Link и ПК, с которого транслируется картинка будут подключены к интернет провайдеру, который НЕ выдает динамический IP адрес. --- Короче вам нужно иметь статический IP и дома и в месте, куда вам нужно транслировать ваш ПК. Либо жрите и пользуйтесь тем, что позволяет эта прога только у себя в домашней локалке.

Ich nutze seit 2 Jahren meinen Raspberry pi mit Steamlink im Wohnzimmer, angebunden über LAN und am Steamlink mit PS4 Controller über USB. Seit ein paar Tagen hat Steamlink den Controller nicht mehr erkannt. Nach ein paar Stunden Updates, Neuinstallation, Treiber neu installieren etc. bin ich auf VirtualHere gestoßen Auf gut Glück 12€ ausgegeben. Jetzt geht es wieder tadellos. Preis ist zu teuer > 5€ hätten gereicht Tut es was es soll > ja Kaufempfehlung meinerseits ja!

Solved a problem Valve should have fixed. Perfectly allowed me to use my HOTAS device via my steam link with zero issues at all.

Niche use case - wanted to pass through a 3D Connexion spacemouse - everything worked on the first try, and now I'm happily puttering along. Will update later if I run into issues with controllers or keyboards.
