This software "was" useful until dev stopped updating this product. For now, AITrack + OpenTrack combination is track more precisely and its completely free to use on github. Do not purchase this unless you just want to throw your money away.
I really like this - I used to use TrackIR 5 Pro and loved it, but it's started having some hardware problems (i've had it a long time so not complaining about that) so I thought i'd give this a shot after the author sent me a copy. My webcam is a Logitech C920 so it's fairly decent, i'm also in a decently lit room which I also use for Streaming - so fairly well the ideal circumstances for an application like this. If you're using a dimly lit room, you're going to need a better webcam. Ideally you want a comfortable 30fps out of it at a reasonable resolution - but even a cheap webcam ought to do the job in a well lit room. The problem with dimly lit rooms is that the camera switches in to low light mode, the frame rate tanks and the image becomes quite grainy - which will likely make head tracking work considerably less well. When I installed it initially it took some time to set up and get comfortable with, it felt really twitchy and moved in unexpected ways however I have found that for my preferred games (Train Simulator 2019, Train Sim World and other sims like that) I have found that zeroing out the Roll, Y and Z mappings has made things much more stable. sure, I can't move in those directions now - but it has meant that the primary directions I want to move in are much more stable. Give the camera a good clear view of your face, it can only work with the data it has in front of it. The turning point for me was when I fired up a game and it all just started working with head tracking without me remembering to put my headset (with TrackIR) on - it felt good to have head tracking *without* having to wear that headset. I've actually switched to streaming with some small earbuds now and reserve headset usage for other times. The author also recently added Joystick output support which is quite useful in some games, I have suggested some changes to the mouse support. This tool works very well in games like Euro Truck Sim 2, American Truck Sim, Farming Sim and Train Simulator 2019. It doesnt work in games like Train Sim World because the game has no support itself - HOWEVER - using the joystick support and a custom tool that I wrote myself I was able to make it work in Train Sim World quite nicely. I have fed this info back to the author and hopefully he'll be able to accomodate the changes which should then support all UE4 games that don't directly support head tracking systems. Bottom line - you've really got nothing to lose. Get the demo, try it out, and spend the money when you're happy it works, but as I say - play about with zeroing some mappings out to eliminate movement you don't really need / want to help smooth out the movements you do want.

This hasn't been updated for a long time, on top of this it appears to be a clone of the free 'Opentrack', which is actively still developed and now has face tracking capabilities which appear to be just as good, if not better. Save your money and get Opentrack or AItrack
Using a Logitech C920 and couldn't be happier with this software! It works better than the TrackIR 5 and is way easier to setup! I use it in ARMA 3 and omgosh it is awesome! Works perfect! Get this software if you are wanting head tracking!
Use AITrack + OpenTrack combo instead. It has better functionality. It is free.
this is a carbon copy of Opentrack, you may as well buy that. it isn't the most stable tracking, and, to be honest I regret buying it. for free you can get a software that operated and looks the exact same way.
Viewtracker is 1/10 less expensive that Trackir 5 and will work with DCS quite adequately but I found that Trackir 5 is far easier to set up is seemss to be a little more stable. One must decide if the extra cost is worth the slight improvement of function.
I don't care what any of the negs say. This worked out of the box, and was at a point I could easily fiddle with it to work perfect. For that, dude gets my 15 bucks. For making me feel like I was in the middle of the Battle of Britain fighting it out with BF 109s in flames around me? For that, my brother, if you are ever in Eugene, I dj at a strip club. I am gonna get you so many lap dances bro you going to walk out of that place sticky and confused.
I was looking for a good piece of software to use with Euro and American Truck Simulator, because looking left and right at junctions and also looking at scenery was a pain with just a wheel. There are a few other software/hardware out there and very expensive. I decided, before trying these other head tracking hardware/software, I would try out ViewTracker with a webcam. I bought a Logitech C270 for c.£30. Tried the ViewTracker demo and it is indeed plug-n-play. The webcam was recognised straightaway and once in ETS2 and ATS worked (with ViewTracker started beforehand) without me needing to do anything. It did need some tweaking however using the software that comes with it to get it just right for me, but after using the demo for a few days I was happy with it. So I bought it. Highly recommend!
Я не понимаю как ЕЁ запустить, не видет мою камеру.
