About

In Vextorial, you play as Pilo, a curious 2D being navigating a vast, ancient ruin suspended in constantly changing dimensions. As you journey through this surreal world, you’ll swap between 2D and 3D perspectives, manipulate gravity to forge new paths, and solve mind-bending puzzles that defy conventional space. Along the way, you’ll encounter a cast of strange and intriguing characters, each with their own perspective on this world, who will guide you on your quest to uncover the truth behind your lost memories.
You awaken with no memory of who you are or why you’ve come to this place, only that the world itself reacts to you in impossible ways. Planes rotate. Gravity bends. Walls become floors. Every step forward unravels another thread of a mystery hidden deep within the shifting geometry.

Found out about this game from a video looking at a bunch of day old steam games. I have to say I had a blast with this! I never felt like a solution was unfair or got myself stuck on a problem for too long, it's right on the sweet spot of challenging but not insanely challenging imo. My only complaint is that it isn't very long, someone better at puzzles than I am could probably beat it much faster than me, especially if you're not bothering with the optional harder puzzles like I was. Also I wanna mention that it's very pretty visually, and the music is stuck in my head now lol. Definitely reccomend!
A hidden gem! Vextorial has such a charming and adorable art style that makes the game instantly appealing. The puzzles are really clever and creative. They always feel fresh, challenging but never unfair. The music and sound design are top-notch too, adding so much atmosphere and personality to the game. It’s one of those games where you can feel the passion of the devs in every detail. Highly recommend giving it a try if you enjoy puzzle games with style and heart!
Worth buying! I've never experienced a game quite like this before! The mechanics are incredibly innovative and keep the gameplay fresh and exciting. The puzzles are challenging, yet the subtle hints allow me to go with the flow as I navigate through them. I love how intuitive the gameplay feels! I've also joined the Discord server to ask for help when I'm unsure of my next move, and I have to say, the community is fantastic! Everyone is supportive and eager to help. Overall, this game is a breath of fresh air in the gaming world. Highly recommend it! <3
Vextorial is a clever puzzle platformer that mixes 2D movement with 3D rotation in a really satisfying way. You spend your time jumping, pushing objects, and rotating the world to solve puzzles, and the game does a great job of letting you figure things out at your own pace. The hub world has some nice secrets to discover, and the minimalist, surreal style makes exploring enjoyable. Overall, it’s a thoughtful, fun experience that rewards curiosity and experimentation.
Super cute indie game with an awesome concept executed soooo well!!! The level design was so creative, the solutions to the levels explored loads of unique and interesting ways to utilise the 2D/3D structure of the game, left me feeling smart whenever I figured something out lmao. A very good mix of complexity with a good natural progression whenever a new mechanic was introduced, so never felt at a complete loss with what to do in a level. The ice levels I definitely found to be the trickiest at first, but once I wrapped my head around it felt like my brain grew a bit bigger for once so thank you for that ƪ(˘⌣˘)ʃ I really enjoyed the narrative and setting of the game too, thought it was a very effective way to contextualise the levels/mechanics of the game. Has left me wanting moreeee (⚈∇⚈ ) my favourite character is probablyyy the cat Environmental design was beautiful, LOVED the 3D background each level had contrasted nicely with Pilo and the 2D levels. Art was also so so cute and the sound design complimented it really well in the comic strips. ALSOOO THE MUSIC I loveeee, think my favourite tracks were the mushrooms and the spooky track in act 3. Wrote this review after my first playthrough <3 if you like puzzle/narrative games and want to .*✧support more indie developers✧*. this is the game for you!! (✦ ‿ ✦)
I first played the game at GDLX 2025, and the quality of the puzzles completely blew me away. Each chapter has its own unique features, and as new mechanics are introduced, the difficulty ramps up in a way that’s challenging yet still entertaining. It’s truly a standout game in this genre, and I absolutely love the character designs of Pilo and Aqua!
This is a review in progress since I have not completed the game yet. That being said, I would give it a thumbs up so far. Really good puzzle platformer with well designed mechanics If I had one complaint, it sometimes stutters on steam deck. Still, puzzle quality makes for an easy recommend. Edit: Unfortunately, the game has jumped the shark. It introduces puzzles where you have to stop blocks in midair. The problem is the timing for doing so is VERY precise. Look, I'm not gonna say puzzle games should have absolutely no timing elements whatsoever. But I shouldn't feel like I'm playing a precision platformer either.
Impressive concept and a even more interesting game in execution. The levels will teach you mechanics and then will use them in interesting and varied ways that get you to think out the solution and even if you don't you are able to intuitively find the solution without being babysat to completion
This game makes me have to think so much, its a very good game for any puzzle solvers :).
I almost never play platformers let alone puzzle games but I saw this in a Memoria video and was sold. The puzzles have been pretty difficult at times but overall are very satisfying when you wrap your head around them. One of the mechanics can feel a little bit like you're cheesing the game,
where you have to go back and forth to get a cube to fall a specific distance
, but overall doesn't detract from the game.
