About
PHYSICS-BASED GAMEPLAY
Very Normal Rail Game is built entirely around physics-driven movement. Your cart has real weight, momentum, and balance, and every action is affected by gravity. Even the smallest mistake can send you flying off the rails.
RAILS ARE NOT YOUR FRIEND
Navigate through narrow rails, steep slopes, jumps, and unstable sections designed to constantly challenge your control. Staying on track requires precision, patience, and a deep respect for momentum.
SIMPLE OBJECTIVE, BRUTAL EXECUTION
There is only one goal: reach the end of the rail. No combat, no distractions—just you, the cart, and the track ahead. Progress is earned by mastering movement, not by rushing forward.
VERY NORMAL. PROBABLY.
Despite its name, Very Normal Rail Game is anything but forgiving. What starts as a calm ride quickly turns into an unforgiving test where the rails decide how far you are allowed to go.

Reviews
I buy games that come out the day of, because its interesting and fun to see fresh new games yet to be discovered. A lot of them are bad, trash even. But some of them of good, and a few of them are great! As of the writing of this review I have played through to the end of the available content in 2 player coop (please devs, let people know this is early access!) very normal rail game was one of the them. The good ones, not great, not bad. I had more fun than I thought I would, and that's got to count for a lot. The simple graphics and art style actually had a lot of charm. There wasn't anything exceedingly innovative, but what's there is solid aside from the occasional bug. These types of games are meant to be a little frustrating as you plug your way through, but the checkpoints were well spaced to be just enough to get through. Little signs telling you that the dev put invisible walls up so you can't cheat were another charming touch. It did seem like the earlier sections got a lot more attention to detail, and the later sections were just going through the motions of finishing up a game. I was able to complete the second half of the game just by walking on the rails, which in itself isn't a problem, but, rails that kill you if you touch them were introduced in the first of the game. Why were they then absent in the second half? Little details like that made the end stretch seem a bit arduous. I paid $3 and got 3 hours of play time, so money spent well enough. As it stands, I'd give it a 6.5/10 Strong first half, weaker second half When the game gets finished I'll be happy to change this review.
A rage game that punishes you with super slow driving along rails without steering or anything, just pressing W and sometimes S to break. At some point, the motor just dies because your tank is empty -> restart from the very beginning. All Multiplayer has crazy desync issues. Carts controlled by other players just fly in the air, someone hops in a cart and becomes invisible. No way to transport batteries. The dragging rotation system is horrible. No explanation for anything. You can't put stuff into the inventory without dropping it first. You can't fill a tank without dropping and grabbing the canister differently (with "E" instead of "LMB"). Some wood planks on rails are walkable, some aren't, no visual cues. Inconsistencies everywhere. Once an exploding cart explodes, it is stuck there and kills every cart running into the invisible trigger, you need to restart the whole game to fix that. And that's not even everything, but my fingers are getting tired from typing all that out. Big frustration. It doesn't feel like it's my fault (which should be the case for a good rage game like Getting Over It or Chained Together). The game is completely broken. It feels like is was never playtested - just put together and released.
Needs a bit of polish but for $3.19 had fun with a friend
Needs a Tutorial or guide for some sections such as inventory usage and glue usage but has a lot of potential as a goofy game to play with friends,
fun coop game:) i can recommend, gl to dev!!
