Reviews
VERY BAD DREAMS VR hat mich absolut begeistert!

Follow Main group
 Follow Second group
 Follow Third group
and discover more reviews from me.
One hour in, had to take a break, cold sweats, hairs standing up all over my body, heart rate through the roof, extreme anxiety, Had to go into the kitchen and grab my jack Daniels and drink the rest of it along with a few coronas to recover, I play a lot of horror games, and very few scared me as much as this one, just sheer constant dread with every step i take, wondering what strange aberration is going to manifest in front of my eyes next like a vivid cheese induced nightmare. a few bugs like when i go to the music room, the game forgets my position and puts my into the ceiling, also the floor level isn't very accurate, found myself touching my floor before i could reach the one in the game TL;DR if you like to be scared, get this game. honestly it's worth it, no idea how much of the game is left to play, but £7.49 (sale) is worth the hour i played alone. 10/10
Potentially good game. Has its bugs here and there. Couldn't reload the flare gun until I restarted it. Graphics were pretty decent. Game play was rather janky. Crashed 4 times getting to the first save mirror? Game just started to get good but now just repeatably keeps crashing. Unplayable now. Running driver update on NVIDIA gtx 3060 seemed to make it worse. Intel I7 32gb ram. Not the fastest pc but runs VR fair. Update: Changed my review. Switched over to metaquest 3. Works great now. Not recommended use for hp reverb 2. Game is scary good so far! Still buggy/janky but to be expected. Very unique game. I'm enjoying it so far. Need to add a quick holster or belt for flashlight rather than putting in backpack. I'll just say there's a few intense moments and you panic, dropping everything and running. Its not smooth transitioning items, ends up on the ground instead of the backpack.
Couldn't get past the first puzzle. Run doesn't work. Your feet at glued to the ground for some reason, the opening story is incomprehensible and lame. Some cool ideas here, but can't recommend.
!!BUYER BEWARE!! Game is completely unplayable at time of review. There is an issue with the view point being under the floor and no amount of troubleshooting seemed to fix it. The discussions board is also showing other buyers having this same issue, implying that the game is just broken out the gate.
VERY BAD DREAMS is a horror experience that aims to overwhelm the player not just visually, but physically and psychologically. Developed and published by CREATIVE VR3D, it positions itself as an intense, surreal nightmare—one that blurs the line between dream logic and raw panic. The game opens deceptively serenely: you awaken on a bright, peaceful beach with no immediate threats. That calm is short-lived. Within minutes, reality begins to dissolve, and the environment twists into a series of oppressive corridors, hostile spaces, and grotesque encounters. The tonal shift from tranquility to chaos establishes the game’s core identity: an unpredictable descent into terror where nothing feels stable or trustworthy. A major component of VERY BAD DREAMS is its commitment to physical immersion. The game is designed with VR sensitivity in mind, emphasizing bodily reactions and gestures. You’re expected to run, duck, move your arms, brace for impact, and even hold your head when madness overtakes the character. Visual warping, sudden distortions, sound spikes, vibration feedback, and disorienting lighting are used repeatedly to push tension beyond the screen and into your body. The goal is to make fear feel tangible—less like observing a horror scenario and more like being pulled into it. When these moments hit correctly, the experience can be startling and visceral, the kind of horror that bypasses logic and goes straight to the nervous system. Structurally, the game blends different styles of horror. There are moments of atmospheric exploration where you simply follow the environment as it mutates. There are survival scenarios involving zombie-like enemies and other monstrous figures. There are sections meant to simulate psychological breakdown, where puzzles, hallucinations, and sudden sensory overload collide. As you move deeper into the nightmare, the game distorts narrative expectations, tossing players into unpredictable scenes and stripping away the comfort of understanding what is real. It aims for a frantic energy: constantly disorienting, occasionally oppressive, and intentionally fragmented. However, the ambition behind VERY BAD DREAMS is undercut by notable technical and design issues. Early player reception reflects widespread frustration: crashes, bugs, and physics glitches are commonly reported. At times, doors refuse to open, interactive objects behave inconsistently, or scripted sequences fail to trigger, leaving the player stuck. In a horror game, where immersion is everything, these breaks in functionality are devastating. Instead of heightening fear, a sudden system fault can instantly dissolve the tension the game works so hard to build. The sense of unpredictability, which is effective in psychological horror, becomes problematic when it stems from instability rather than narrative intent. Beyond technical problems, the game’s presentation can feel uneven. Some sequences deliver genuine dread, but others rely too heavily on volume spikes, abrupt visual chaos, or heavy-handed madness effects that can strain patience rather than build atmosphere. The story, while present, is fragmented and sometimes overshadowed by the emphasis on sensory overload. There is potential emotional depth in the initial beach setup and the gradual corruption of the world, but the game rarely slows down long enough to let those ideas resonate. Instead, it leans aggressively into shock and distortion, which may appeal to fans of extreme horror but alienate players who prefer more subtle psychological tension. Despite its flaws, VERY BAD DREAMS does have a distinct identity. It is not a cautious or conventional horror game—it commits fully to creating a chaotic fever dream meant to overpower the senses. For players who thrive on experimental VR horror, who enjoy the unpredictability of surreal nightmare spaces, or who appreciate raw, unfiltered fear without worrying about polish, the game can deliver some memorably intense moments. It feels like an indie passion project aimed at pushing boundaries rather than playing safe. Ultimately, VERY BAD DREAMS is a bold but uneven attempt at combining physical immersion, psychological horror, and surreal design. When its mechanics function and its atmosphere aligns, it succeeds in delivering a visceral nightmare that’s difficult to forget. But technical instability, inconsistent pacing, and overreliance on aggressive sensory tricks hold it back from becoming a fully satisfying experience. This is a game best approached by players who are curious about experimental horror and willing to overlook rough edges in exchange for raw intensity. For everyone else, it may feel too unstable, too abrasive, or simply too unpolished to recommend without reservation. Rating: 5/10
this game is broken.
