This is a game with a lot of work done for level design, and not nearly enough for basic gameplay, like character control. I could recommend it if it were an early-access game, which would mean it is still being worked on, but the fact that this is the full, finished game makes this an unfortunate no, for me. It's a cute game, it has a lot of good stuff going on. The main character does a fun little dance when you finish a level- I'll never forget that. But the controls, and other mechanics related to the environment and how the character interacts with it, did not get the developmental TLC they need. If they would polish this up, fix its problems, and update it, I'd be willing to give the game another chance and maybe change this review (it's not bad, it's just needs a lot of polishing). But, I don't think that is going to happen.

I really wanted to like this game, it started off very cute but became really frustrating with how slippery every surface felt if you were even slightly close to the edge. I felt like I was being pulled off surfaces I should have been standing on perfectly fine, the sensitivity was also ASTRONOMICAL. I ended up having to turn my mouse DPI down to its lowest setting (1200 dpi for anyone who is wondering). I'm not sure if I will finish the game, I am currently in the second area but getting frustrated with not really knowing what surfaces I'm not meant to be standing on. I think the game is super cute and shows some really great potential. The devs clearly know their fundamentals and I think with some more polishing Veneficium would play really well! I will say that the music was great, very atmospheric and right up my alley!
