Veil of crows is a sandbox style real-time strategy game set in a chaotic medieval world. From violent, and overtly bloody battles, to completely destructible castles, RPG style hero development, and meaningful interactions with other factions. Trade, extort, and conquer!

Unfinished and abandoned, don't buy
It is dead, don't buy!
Wouldn't pay more than 5 USD because this game isn't getting updates
o
The game could be good, but alas, since 2018 there's no more updates and the devs are still promissing updates but nothing comes out. Now the game is outdated and a No Man's Sky come back is impossible. Don't buy it.
Unfortunately, this game is no longer actively developed. The concept is good, but should be developed much further. In its current state, I advise others not to pay more than 5 euros for this. The AI cheats way too much for a sandbox game. Which makes it almost impossible to win without exploiting diplomacy. Due to the amount of micro management, it is impossible to manage a large empire. There are also a number of bugs and exploits in the game that you will encounter again and again. In principle it is not interesting to have more than 1 city and to develop it completely. After that there is little more to do in the game. This makes the idea of starting a new game in your old world not interesting. The game certainly has potential, but it is not being developed further. Don't expect much from it. Looking at the current price and quality, I unfortunately cannot recommend it in all honesty. I hope that the developer will one day give this game the further attention and love it deserves. If you are intrested in this type of gameplay, i recommand "Bannerlord".
Not my favourite medieval tactical simulator, has many management good ideas: worth a try Seems some kind of mixture between Mount&Blade games and other elements that should be further developed in my opinion
ABANDONED, DO NOT BUY!
I got this very cheap on sale. Still very early access. Concepts are interesting and there is a lot of potential, hence why its a "Yes" and not a "No." I only played 28 mins and didnt really have fun, but I can see why this game is compared to a mix of Total War and Mount & Blade 1 and 2... But its not in state where it is fun to play. Difficult to learn and do what I want to do. In a battle left click is both select and attack so its very difficult to control. In strategic view difficult to make sense of whats going on and interact. Lack of visual clues and sounds. UI is too small and not informative. Too much micro management with resources and not clear what I need for when or how. No clues on how to generate more food or income. I may be been spoiled by playing bigger production finished games like Total War and Mount & Blade 1 and 2. Maybe after much more dev work this game will get there. It was cheap so I didnt seek a refund, and hope this small contribution helps with developing the game further.
Was early access then abandoned.
