About
Vampire Syndicate: Gangs of MoonFall is an old-school, narrative-driven RPG set amidst the vampire-dominated gangs of a cyberpunk city. As a Familiar of one of the ancient vampire lineages, you have been tasked by your undead masters to expand their criminal empire.
A story of blood, tears and sighs - The vampires of MoonFall are different from the ones you may be used to. While all vampires are undead and must drink blood, how vampirism is spread, and the array of powers a new vampire gains, will vary depending on the lineage. Each lineage is, in effect, a different “species” of vampire and the lineage that the player chooses will alter story events, making each playthrough with a specific lineage have its own unique quirks.

Old-School cRPG: Featuring turn-based combat, character creation, classes, skill checks, etc!
Erotic Entertainment: Vampires are sexual creatures, expect opportunities for casual sex or long-term romances.
Choice and Consequence: Faction reputations, NPC loyalties, dynamic world states, multiple story routes.
Hub-based Overworld: Explore a massive cyberpunk island city-state.
Immersive First and Third-person view: switch seamlessly between FPV and TPV.
Narrative Focus: Step into a setting with deep worldbuilding and characters. Expect a lot of reading.
The player character starts off as an unaffiliated street mercenary, but is quickly introduced to the vampiric underworld. In order to rise in the dark hierarchy, they must curry favor with their new masters, accomplish great deeds, and otherwise prove themselves in the Uzakh Drucah.
The ultimate prize of the player’s undying service is to be reborn as a vampire. Immortal, powerful, and the ultimate predator masquerading as a human.
Decide the fate of the Uzakh Drucah
The four major surviving vampire lineages find themselves at a crossroads. Their sins have returned to haunt them. It is a time of prophecy and heroes, and for you, that means a chance to make your mark on the world.
Crime pays
As the name suggests, the player’s main activity in Vampire Syndicate is to conduct criminal activities for their lineage faction. With the exception of a few rules, the player is offered complete freedom in how they go about this, and can complete missions or contracts using whatever method they prefer.
Adult content
Vampires are inherently sexual creatures, and during the course of the game, the player will have ample opportunities for casual sex or pursue long-term romances. Expect explicit sexual content.

I would only buy this game if you're interested in helping the creator finish his pet project. Right now, there isn't much 'vampire' stuff going on (after 3 hours of running around). It just seems like a cyber punk game without much content. You can grind up income and test out what limited items they've got but this is more of an alpha rather than a beta. I bought this without looking too closely. I just saw early access vampires and thought, oh, that's neat. In the character creator there is an option for 'streamer friendly mode' so I decided not to just refund and give the game a chance. I hope the creator does something more with it.
This is not even close to a beta yet. itch.io storyline/dialog/gui, floaty/laggy movement, wholly empty liminal spaces, while also having enough to not look like a total scam. Hopefully this will turn into an actual game sometime in the future, but right now it's not even a demo.
Game is very very unfinished and quite buggy, it feels like a concept at this point, but what I really enjoy is the combat even though that is unfinished. This game has incredibly good concepts that it just needs to flesh out and build on but when it does I really think this could be something special. At its current state I can't recommend it outside of supporting the developer and for testing the game in its infancy, but I will be more than happy to change my review once the game starts to really come to life.
Serious props to the dev being alone making this, but right now the game is just incredibly far from a finished product and it seriously leaves you wanting. Right now, it's a 3/10 for me with a thumbs down. Hopefully with a lot more work, the idea can come together.
I love the concept and it has potential but, in my opinion, it's not ready even for an Early Access release. It was pretty apparent right from the beginning that what little is here is very basic, limited, a bit buggy, and lacking in common QoL features. The world itself is very barren and bland as well. It definitely doesn't feel like a lived-in city and nothing made me curious to see more of it. Might be worth it for you if you're a true believer in the game's premise and you're willing to write off the asking price and then sit on it and wait for future updates to flesh out the world and add some more content and stability. I'll check back in a few months to see how development has progressed.
Not a professional here but I will be honest with this. The dev is ambitious and if its true that this is done solo then kudos for the progress so far... But I guess your trying to make too many things at the same time... this is too much for a small team and more so for a solo dev. 1. The dialogue mechanic is a struggle - if possible, allow arrow buttons to work or scroll to select your option. Also just move it in the dialog box - its more intuitive to have it there. 2. Dialog animations and VA will do a lot for this. I know that this might be off to others but I guess AI can temporarily fill in for now until you have the capacity to hire VAs. 3. This might just be me but just get rid of the over-world navigation until you get a more refined version for it. Just stick to a map to navigate between the areas for now. 4. Controls are a bit awkward. Maybe for convenience allow multiple key assignments for each action. I would also suggest control presets. Move your default keys to the left side of the keyboard since this is keyboard + mouse configuration. 5. Expand character creation options. Since you are already mimicking Cyberpunk, might as well have more options for customization. 6. Please improve your models. Right now, they look like those generic renp'y adult VN games (this makes the interaction and dialogue feel too close to those). 7. You need to further optimize the game. This is using UE, right? Maybe you can disable unnecessary clutter just to lower the demand of your game. Those are my suggestions for now. I'll play more for the story but I agree with the other reviews - this is still a bit raw for release. I'll leave a no for review for now but maybe change it later once we see improvements. Good luck!

📝 Review, Gameplay & Verdict

[th]📖 Story[/th]

MoonFall is a cyberpunk island city-state controlled by criminal factions and four ancient vampire lineages. You play as a street mercenary who becomes a Familiar, completes criminal contracts, recruits allies, and earns the trust of the Uzakh Drucah in hopes of eventually becoming a vampire. The setting has plenty of lore and political conflict, but the current Early Access story ends before most of it can fully develop.

[th]🎮 Gameplay[/th]

① Character Creation & Party Building Create a male or female protagonist, choose attributes, skills, and a combat role, then recruit gang members to fight alongside you. These choices affect dialogue, skill checks, and turn-based combat, while weapons, armor, outfits, and upgrades must be purchased or found. ② First & Third-Person Exploration Explore MoonFall in full 3D and switch freely between first-person and third-person views. Streets, apartments, shops, underground areas, and criminal hideouts contain NPCs, quests, vendors, and information, although many locations currently feel too large and empty. ③ Turn-Based Tactical Combat Battles use an overhead tactical view where characters move, spend action points, and attack with weapons or abilities. The system is easy to understand but still basic, with limited enemy variety, few environmental interactions, unreliable accuracy, and encounters that can require frequent saving and reloading. ④ Money, Equipment & Progression Complete jobs, collect loot, and earn passive income to purchase equipment and upgrades. Weapons and outfits are expensive early on, while the limited content can make progression repetitive. Several skills, menus, and progression systems are still being revised. ⑤ Choices, Skills & Factions Dialogue choices and skill checks can provide alternate ways to complete situations. Faction reputation, NPC loyalty, vampire lineage allegiance, and player decisions are intended to change the world and story, though the current chapter rarely develops these consequences far enough. ⑥ Adult Encounters The game includes casual sex and long-term romances, with heterosexual, lesbian, and gay content integrated into the RPG setting. The current selection remains limited, while the animations, expressions, positioning, transitions, and environments still need considerable polish.

[th]🏆 VERDICT[/th]

Vampire Syndicate: Gangs of MoonFall pleasantly surprised me. As a fan of Cyberpunk 2077 who also loves vampires, it brings together many things I enjoy: a dark cyberpunk city, vampire factions, character creation, criminal jobs, exploration, choices, and turn-based combat. You can create and customize a male or female protagonist, with fully visible intimate parts or a streamer-friendly blur. I also appreciate the third-person mode, as first-person games often cause motion sickness for me. The game can be demanding, so weaker PCs may require lower graphical settings. It ran smoothly on my AMD Radeon GPU, Ryzen 7 CPU, and 32 GB of RAM, and also performed very well on my ASUS ROG Ally. The current Early Access build is still short and rough, with empty areas, basic combat, limited adult scenes, and animations that need more polish. Even so, its setting and RPG systems already show great potential, and I am excited to see MoonFall grow. It is already a project worth following closely. The game is very raw; it feels more like a concept. This is a visual novel where, instead of beautiful 2D artwork, we get eye-bleeding 3D graphics. There is no sense of style at all, it just feels like random assets were scattered across the levels. Someone in the reviews here wrote that it resembles Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. Excuse me, but that is a complete lie; this game has absolutely nothing in common with it. P.S. The game seems to be capped at 30 FPS, although by tweaking some settings I managed to get 45. I don't get it, the optimization is just terrible.
I'd just wait for functional release this is 5 hours of me setting up my character because it crashes once I'm done with no save so have to start over. Uninstalled I'll comeback when its ready.
