About
You entered the castle to kill its master. Now the gates are sealed, the sun is setting, and the vampire is waiting for Nightrise. To reach him, you’ll have to learn the castle’s secrets, fight through its servants, and hold on to the faith that makes you dangerous.
The castle was built to keep hunters wandering until nightfall.
Fireplaces rotate. Bookcases slide aside. Portraits conceal corridors, and familiar rooms connect in unexpected ways. Notes left by fallen hunters reveal traps, mechanisms, and fragments of the path ahead. Learn how the castle works, and you can dismantle the defenses protecting its master.
You only brought so many stakes. Fortunately, the castle is full of wood.
Smash furniture apart to replenish your ammunition.
Pierce multiple enemies with a single shot.
Pin monsters to walls, floors, and anything else behind them.
Fire through open flames to ignite your stakes.
Every chair is a weapon—once you break it.
Faith is not merely part of the story. It is a resource you should protect.
Channel it through your cross to stun enemies, defend yourself, and stay alive. But the castle will offer you forbidden powers—and every advantage asks you to surrender some of the faith you need to survive.
What will you compromise to complete the hunt?
Vampire Hunter: Nightrise is a focused, handcrafted first-person adventure combining brutal FPS combat, exploration, hidden passages, and a story about pride, temptation, and belief.
The deeper you travel into the castle, the more the hunt turns back on you—testing your convictions before you finally confront your prey.
One castle. One night. One vampire.
Find him before he finds you.

I received and early build of the game to try out. First playthrough took several hours over the course of 2-3 days. The 2nd playthrough took 30 minutes. That is not a negative point for the game. Once you figure out the various puzzles and secrets, it is super fun to speed-run through and get all the achievements. Very engaging writing that goes over themes of religion and testing faith. An interesting mechanic is that the more power-ups you unlock, the less maximum ammunition you have. I really enjoy the combination of crossbow and closequarters combat. Not a very difficult game, but I loved the atmosphere and set pieces.
as a collector of unique video games i must say that this one has actually caught me by surprise by how its portrayed and played. the sheer design of this vastle is both Esoterically Beautiful shrouded in mystic and occultically fascinating. more then once has the enemies startled me because i was keeping every shadow at bay by the light of god. however in this castle...this tiny light from this cross is nothing but mere Candle light for what is really within this Castle. I have traveled through inverted chapels a gigantic Atrium and looked through every bookcase of the heretical Archives and library for secrets that tell the story and what i have to say is this. This is honestly a very beautiful take on Castlevania and Tunic if there is anything i respect more when it comes to Vampires, its there Vast collection of knowledge. Monster designs are fascinating Spirits, Werewolves, Living Armor, Skeletons, Lesser Vampires there is no loud musical cue or constant chase where you hear the beasts approach. They lunge at you wether you like it or not or are prepared for it. you second guess the darkness and the blinding light of corruption that hides the monsters. The Arcitecture and Music does paint a really well blend of what your ment to feel traveling through a Vampires lair. Yes its not top graphics and people will cry over that. But horror doesn't need to have Resident Evil Requiem's graphics to tell its story. This game is actually brilliant and i am not regreting the purchase i made for this. its very well put and interesting indeed. I do hope to see more of this if there is anything more coming
pessimo grafica e gameplay
Vampire Hunter: Nightrise gefällt mir für meine kurze Spielzeit relativ gut Nach der Schiff-fahrt nerven mich aber die 2D Statuen an.
Bitte keine 2D Elemente in 3D Spielen verwenden!
This is the translation from 2D to 3D that I've been wanting from Castlevania for decades. A little on the easy side, but the vibes more than make up for whatever it lacks in challenge. highly recommend.
So I wanted to say this even though I'm not quite done with my first playthrough yet (did finish the demo)- like a previous review I absolutely am digging the atmosphere of this gem. This one scratched an itch I didn't know I had as well. One minor complaint is that I wished you actually had given a time limit option as the feeling of dread as the time inexorably ticks away would have been palpable and added to the vibe (imo). Other than that no complaints that the patches haven't addressed as far as I can tell. Great job and hope to see more in this vein (lol) from you all. As to the actual review this is a solid 8/10 from me. Faster players will speed through, and people who like absorbing the scenery and events like me can take their time. Basic gameplay loop is simple but absorbing, and the clues and secrets (puzzles) add the lore aspect that I really enjoy. If you're on the fence the demo is a lightweight size wise and a short gameplay bite timewise. This reminds me of when L4D came out and my kids all went rushing through it and they couldn't stand their "old man" taking his time. And the blessings and temptations plus the faith meter are familiar yet a bit unlike powerups in other games. IMO this is the kind of game we need more of.
