Jolly good show!
Fun game, but the stupid traffic lights are so annoying. It was bearable in first act, but in the second act it's just too much. I want climbing challenges not jump at the right time challenge. Spikes are also annoying, but so far still bearable. Difficulty jump from act I to act 2 is also a bit much but would not mind too much if not for the traffic lights. Yeah I know there is a relaxed mode, but I am not about that life.
I recommend, this climbing game is full of fun quests and more! *I* am trying to 100% the game and it's a fun challenge! The quests vary in difficulty, the whole game is fun and calm to play with some good music! I recommend. (SPOILER)
this game contains time travel which has quests of it's own!
Really great! I was actually surprised how fun this was. It's very cozy story wise, and has a pretty great relaxed vibe. At the same time, the climbing is not all that relaxing ;) But it works really well. There is a good sense of progression in difficulty, and things are interesting because more and more mechanics are added. The upgrades are adding additional layer to it - whether you want to use them or not. It's a great mixture of some small open-world exploration and engaging climbing. Well done!

Quick Description: -Valley Peaks is a cozy climbing game that packs a decent challenge. This game is harder than your typical cozy game imo. I do think that the learning curve is reasonable and that the game is fair, but I was expecting a much more laid back experience, and found myself struggling fairly often to complete the higher star mountain climbs. This game has a cast of adorable characters, tons of side quests to complete, and offers a sizeable semi-open world to explore. There is a lot to like here, but it's not quite the stroll in the park that A Short Hike offers. Consensus: -Solid Game (Tier 3 and makes up 35% of my reviews). Valley Peaks is an easy one to recommend, especially if you can snag it on a sale. It offers about about 6-8 hrs of content, but I didn't enjoy second half of the game as much as the first. The second half offers some new and unique mechanics, but the climb to the top of the mountains started to grow a tad stale for my taste. That is really my only criticism in what was an otherwise really fun, adorable, and challenging gaming experience.
