Truly astounding. Who would have thought that a small indie game like Unreachable could be so captivating? The story is impressively elaborate and well thought-out, keeping me engaged throughout. Despite its limited budget, the plot was masterfully crafted—far from simplistic. I even found myself stumped a few times, which only added to the thrill. The decision to blend stealth and mystery was a stroke of genius. It's a rare combination, and even rarer to see it executed this well. Unreachable stands out as one of the few games that truly nails it. Overall, a solid 8.5/10. I'm definitely looking forward to what the developers create next.
I cant find the damm last clue in chapter 2, the game is too slow and too hard, its damm dark. But i can say that the story is well made, its just the gameplay thats repeating, no doing just clicking buttons and thinking makes this boring.
Its a good idea and plot but terrible execution, the gameplay is horrible and sneaking around 247 and can barely find clues or do much at all is very miserable. i was very excited to play this until i actually did, unfortanutely i can not return this game or i would
So it turns out the game has a little bug or rather bad design at the end which makes it really hard for me personally to get the good ending. In the ending you need to use this symbol: ' however for my german keyboard no matter what I do it always is # instead of ' which makes it impossible for me to get the good ending unless I change the keyboard layout in windows. Otherwise its a neat little game.
Thanks to Lost Art Studies for the key!
Updated 14.03.2025 Now with 50% discount the game has right pricing. Game was received for free during playtest. Cooperation with developer were intense. Price is inadequate regarding quality and content fullfilment of this game. My opinion - price should be reduced 3 times then the game might be recommended. Otherwise game is doomed by greed of devs. It will just drown in the sea of all other products made by tallented guys but know nothing about promotion and marketing. Game just sentenced to become another "shovelware" with such pricing. Main idea of this game is One big puzzle that you are solving all over the game. Graphics and sound - like from 2000's. So the game is not about any of these. Game is extremely slow paced and artificially enlarged without options to skip cutscenes or dialogues. Or even for some unsuccesfull actions you are to restart chapters and for pinnacle achievement you are to restart the game over again in case of conditions failure. It was a real pain to get all achievements. Was real fun to finaly solve this puzzle. I've found quite interesting the plot and lore of the game. Nevertheless developers are nice and adequate guys they have inadequate perception of real value of this game (as every developer) and market demand or nowaday gamedev tendencies.
Played this game a while back. I enjoyed it quite a bit. (Steam says I only have 0.3 hours on this game, but it's more than that) There are some tense moments as you have to sneak around and avoid detection while looking for details which feed the story and clues to find the villain. Some of the environments could've been more fleshed out, some of the deeper story was a touch hard to track, but all-in-all, I enjoyed it. The game makes you use logic to piece together things to get the true ending. I enjoyed it, Lost Art Studios? If you guys put out another game, I'll most likely give it a try. Good work.
Pros: -The story (albeit cliche as well as the script) was good enough for you to want to continue to see what happens. -Puzzle solving was ok. It was fun making connections, however in my opinion was too easy overall. Some aspects having a lack of handholding was nice. -The base mechanics of finding clues and sorting through useful information was good. I just wish there was more of it and for it to go more in depth. Cons: -Stealth mechanic feels primitive and janky. It has its use story-wise but I felt it was more annoying than anything and detracted from a more enjoyable experience. This is offset a bit with the checkpoint system which I feel is its saving grace in this respect. -Environment and freedom is bare bones. Pretty much everything is on rails. I would have liked to have seen more things to discover and do. -The price vs. gameplay value is much too high. Much too high. In closing: There is a great potential here to use the mechanics to make a much fuller game, with more clues and puzzle solving, a different type of story that comes along with more choices, freedom, and outcomes. Mechanics introduced like lockpicking I feel like could have a much greater impact on gameplay and use. Overall a decent enough experience that only takes ~3hr to complete. Just a little too pricey for what this delivers. Hopefully funding secured from this will produce a much larger and more valuable experience for the next go. For now, mostly due to pricing ($26CDN), I cannot recommend. Edit a year later: It appears price was dropped. At which point I would say it can be worth it, especially on sale which it currently is. Therefore I'm changing my recommendation to Yes. Once again, I'm looking forward to what the devs can produce next.
This is a hard maybe rather than a no. I was part of the playtest for this game and gave some lengthy feedback on things that could be improved. Yet I feel that information was not used for the final product. As such I can only say the game has decent writing and some interesting mechanics that in parts is fun to play, but it also has glaring issues and gets frustrating to finish. So, beware of some yank and perhaps get it on a discount.
