Unplugged is an innovative and engaging 2.5D co-op puzzle-platformer that truly shines when it comes to creativity and teamwork. As a fan of indie games, I was thoroughly impressed by its unique mechanics, clever level design, and the cooperative challenges that pushed me and my friend to think outside the box. The Good Stuff: -Unique Plug Mechanics The core gameplay revolves around plugging and unplugging to activate robots and interact with the environment, all the while managing your wire length. It’s a fresh idea that keeps puzzles dynamic and makes teamwork essential. -Abilities and Upgrades The variety of abilities, like the doppelganger and Gravity toggle, adds a ton of depth to the gameplay. We loved experimenting with different combinations to see how they’d help us overcome puzzles. The Magnet ability, for instance, led to some really fun and chaotic moments with plugs and wires flying around -Level Design The sci-fi lab environment is beautifully crafted with a lot of attention to detail. Levels gradually introduce mechanics, so we never felt overwhelmed, and the difficulty curve was well-balanced. There were several aha! moments where we felt really smart solving puzzles. Cooperative Gameplay This is one of the best co-op games I’ve played in a while. The reliance on each other to progress felt rewarding and strengthened the sense of teamwork. We laughed, argued, and celebrated together, which is exactly what you want in a co-op experience. The Not-So-Good Stuff: Occasional Frustration While the puzzles are mostly well-designed, there were a few that felt a bit too obtuse. At times, it wasn’t clear what the game wanted us to do, and we ended up trial-and-erroring for longer than we’d have liked. A hint system might help alleviate this frustration. Limited Replayability Once we completed the game, we felt like there wasn’t much incentive to replay. While the puzzles were great the first time, there’s little variation to make subsequent playthroughs feel fresh. Maybe a time trial mode or additional challenges would help. Occasional Bugs We encountered a couple of minor glitches, like getting stuck in terrain or a wire not attaching properly. These weren’t game-breaking but did pull us out of the experience momentarily.
Loving it so far! Needed a new game to play together with my friend and this is perfect. Absolutely love the plugging in concept, adds a whole new level of complexity to the gameplay! Some of the levels are a bit difficult, a few hints would be helpful. There were a few bugs but nothing game breaking. Overall a fun new experience, Well worth the 5$.
Its a chaotic co-op adventure that will test your puzzle solving skills... and sometimes your friendship! The plug mechanics and the upgrades led to quite some hilarious moments, like turning off the hologram materialzer to throw my pal in the electric fence below and then redoing the whole level. The visuals and the scifi lab setting is great, but the story is almost non existent. Some puzzles are really confusing and required a lot of yelling at each other to figure out. The occasional bugs we ran into only added to the hilarity! If you are looking for a game thats fun, requires teamwork and a lot of yelling at your friend, this one does the job.
Very fun and charming game. Really enjoyed playing it with my nephew. The world needs more co-op games like this one. There's a few bugs here and there but nothing too major, and i bet they'll be fixed in the next update. Totally worth the price!
Me and my friend are loving this. There are a few bugs, but for the price it was well worth the fun!
More levels please. I love playing games like this with my wife. There were a few annoying bugs which i hope the developer fixes. The experience overall was fun. We both really had a good time getting through all the mazes while trying to figure everything out!
An intelligent idea executed very well. The gameplay is nice, the game is itself not graphic intensive and is very fun to enjoy with a partner. I would totally recommend this to someone looking to play something light with some problem solving involved.
