Batteries for the flashlight are plentiful, a lot of the jumpscares got me pretty good and none of the jumpscares used a jarring, loud sound effect. On the other hand, some of the scares are predictable and searching for items feels a little slow. There are a lot of empty cabinets and such. This game isn't bad, but it doesn't do anything off the beaten path. I read through the reviews and saw a lot of people complaining about the sewers: That level seems to have been updated since then and it's way less confusing than they described. Although I will concede that the crawling is painfully slow.

I recommend this game because the price is low, but I warn you: don't expect anything spectacular. Undiscovered House is a very short horror puzzle game focused on exploration, puzzle solving, and occasional jumpscares. Everything in this game is very simple. Puzzles are simple, jumpscares are mild (which is good from my point of view), and the story is not particularly deep or original. BUT! I have to say that the game is very polished, and it offers a good atmosphere. It manages to convey a pretty strong sense of tension and anxiety, which is what I appreciated the most. The dev has still to improve a lot, but considering that this is his/her first game, I am glad to say that it is really not bad as a starting point. I clearly felt all the effort and passion which has been put in this work, so I'm giving this positive review as encouragement for a likely nascent talent, with the hope to see more games from him/her in the future. The interact keys 'I' & 'E' randomly stop working. Tap escape and they start working again. That's until you leave the sewer. I can't interact with anything anymore. I don't know what's causing this. I don't have this issue in other games or writing this review. My keyboard is working fine. ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ 1234567890. See, I told you my keyboard works. The game isn't bad, a little cheezy tho.

It's a 'hidden objects + walking sim' kind of game. It's definitely not a psychological horror game. You just need to search for objects and that's it! There are no puzzles as well.

Hallo, dies ist meine Rezension zum Horror-Blockbuster Undiscovered House. Das Spiel startet mit einer für mich relativ langweiligen Story, das mein Auto explodiert und ich leider Unterschlupf und Hilfe bei einem nahegelegenen Haus finden muss. Dieses Haus ist natürlich verflucht. Die Jumpscares sind zwischenzeitlich ganz nett, aber es fehlt der Sound. Warum die ganze Zeit Piano gespielt werden muss, erschließt sich mir leider auch nicht. Die Übersetzung ist größtenteils aber gelungen. Dennoch kann ich für 5 Euro dieses Spiel nicht ruhigen Gewissens weiterempfehlen. Außer vielleicht meiner Schwiegermutter. DerAnik Ende

Undiscovered House is not particularly good, but not particularly bad either. It looks overall quite nice, with selfmade textures and models, the house itself is filled with several hidden passages, and there were some good scares, but it overall falls into your basic horror game list. The main issue this has is the entity, that stalks the player. In the first two maps its more of a ghostly being that jumpscares you, sometimes shifting through you, but in the last act it turns into a physical being that can actually harm the player. That just doesnt work at all. And the ending plays a cutscene where you walk into a room, which isnt bad, but it gets triggered when you leave said room.
