Underwater Life

Looks like I get to write the first review for this "game". Underwater Life is a lazy 2D retro style arcade game where you control a small fish in a 2D aquarium and must avoid bigger fish. Eat algae to increase your level so you can eat smaller fish as well. That's all there is to it. This is a basic template flip made with the awful GameMaker Studio 2, resulting in a very mediocre experience. Resolution and controls are locked, gameplay is janky, and the game art is mediocre. These kind of video game construction kits aren't intended to make commercially viable games, they're just for sharing with friends and teaching some elements of game making. The quality of this shovelware is far beneath anything that should be published on Steam. The $10 USD price tag for "game" stamped out with a construction kit is just a joke.

Задумка Underwater Life уходит корнями в глубокое прошлое: подобные игры существуют с незапамятных времён, и были популярны ещё на старых кнопочных телефонах. Смысл в том, что вы должны плавать рыбкой, поедая других более маленьких и постепенно становясь самой крупной рыбой. Те, кто мог съесть вас некоторое время назад, теперь уже сами могут стать вашей добычей. Underwater Life выглядит достаточно красиво, но сама по себе до безобразия уныла. Эффектов поедания рыб тут нет, кроме того гидробионт, которым вы управляете, не может голодать, как было в более старых аналогах этой игры. Собрав несколько монет, вы сможете купить уровень, с которого будет начинаться игра. Кстати, после выхода из игры он даже не сохраняется. И это всё - больше тут делать нечего. Управление в Underwater Life - отдельная песня. Нет, тут вы не сможете поиграть геймпадом, откинувшись на спинку кресла, и даже не получится переназначить управление на wasd - только стрелки и только хардкор. Очень часто от более крупных рыб просто невозможно удрать (они перемещаются быстрее, по крайней мере, в вертикальной плоскости), а управление при этом доставляет массу неудобств. Настройки этой игры ограничиваются лишь включением оконного режима и выбором языка (русский и английский). Мне кажется, эту игру можно было сделать гораздо интереснее и разнообразнее. Наверное, если бы она была бесплатной, претензий бы вообще не было, но просить за неё столько, сколько она стоит без скидки, просто смешно.

Oh Boy, what is right with this game... I've played this game for over an hour and I probably played this game one hour longer than the developer... There is the most basic of bugs that if you are playing and you try to go to the main menu or exit or anything the game will just restart, this happens every single time, so you always have to try to go to main menu 2x. Besides this, you cant go to the fish and upgrade, you always have to exit 2 times to the menu to play again and chose the fish. This doesnt matter because the fish always looks the same. There's no point in buy fish, unless you stay small and just stay collecting coins and then buy the most expensive one and try to get a highscore. But anyways the game is so broken that you can only play for 5 seconds when you buy the most expensive fish, because you are huge and all fish are even bigger so you cant really do anything. Besides this, there's no predictability on how fast the fish are, what is their level, you have to guess if you can eat them or not, sometimes you can eat same level but often not. The hitbox is the head of the fish so when they turn they instakill you if you are behind them. Things can spawn on top of each other which makes getting them a nightmare. Overall nothing works and spending money on this is a huge scam unless the entire game is changed. I still liked the idea of the game though, shame that you can't play it

简单的设计无需任何说明直接玩就是了，一直死一直重新来，随时离开随时再来，欲罢不能却也不会牵制你~变幻无穷惊心动魄却休闲轻松。算得上休闲小游戏中的优等。 唯一希望可以增加“关闭背景音乐”功能，这样就堪称完美了。

Порадовала графика, океанчик, задумка, играбельность, рыбки, наличие скинов, залипательный геймплей, солнышко с утра, лето, жизнь. 10000000/1 однозначно
