Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/-Q9Ddui0KVo Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this game. It's just subpar in almost every aspect. Your normal walking speed is too slow. Performance is pretty bad. The 3D scans are mediocre at best. The ambient sounds are generic. The narration has a poor sound mix. The text signs are low quality. The mini-activities are bad. What is supposed to be an enjoyable walk with positive vibes while you walk around a green maze surrounded by nature and having museum pieces scattered around, along with some activities, just becomes a generic, poorly optimized experience that is forgettable. You're more likely to be upset than have good vibes. Experience is running on the CryEngine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting variable frame rates between 40-60 fps. I did try multiple graphical settings, but performance was always lacking. You do have full locomotion and smooth turning ONLY. There are various graphical glitches, including pop-in and just random graphical artifacts. Up close most of the plants / trees look very low quality. From a far distance, they look blurry or phase in & out of view. There's much better VR walking simulators that look better and run better. There's better 3D scans of sculptures in other VR experiences, most of them free. There's also better mazes as this maze presented no challenge, although that was probably by design. In any event, the super slow walking speed is just the cherry on top of this mud pie. Rate 3.5/10.
Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator Connect program. This is nice and easy. You just sit back and relax. The positive messages helped me (had a rough day), and the laying down under a tree and closing my eyes is nice, especially with the sun. The statues are nice, and the environment is relaxing. The map is small, but a lot of detail in it. I was able to play this on high settings with a 5700xt. There are very minor bugs, but it doesn't affect gameplay; just make sure your resolution isn't at 3k per eye. I had that issue(my fault). This isn't a run and gun game. It's a relax and don't think about anything game. I recommend this game. Especially since it's on sale. You should really give this a try while the sale is up!
It's pretty much what it is, just a way to chill out, think, throw things, and roam around with really great visuals. Updates helped a lot. Going outside the maze into the woods was very nice, got lost a bit. I enjoy it a lot.
I might have been able to get into this experience IF IT WEREN'T SO @#&! SLOW!!! It really needs a speed up or short range teleport or something, like you have in Steam VR environments or VR Chat.
