Under Stranger Stars

7/10 The Good: -Gameplay is simple, but not too simple as to become boring. -Story is decent, but it's the side stories that really shine. -Descriptions, dialogue, flavor text, etc. can be humorous. -Music and art is beautiful, and ship designs are eye-pleasing. The Bad: -Music sometimes overlaps multiple tracks, which can be annoying. -Certain bosses can become bugged and unable to attack, sometimes unable to be damaged as well. -Despite the pretty aesthetics, some nebulae can cause an extreme performance drop, causing the game to stutter to a near-halt. -Bounty Hunts, and many bosses, are either the same ship, same ship with a different name, or a similar ship. -Some enemies, mainly the Connect-a-Mines, can and will spawn on top of/follow you after death. The Ugly: -I'm unsure that this is a bug, or if it's intentional, but after you finish one of the game-ending quests I kept on receiving a black screen with no options to quit, restart, continue, etc. no matter how long I waited.

In this video I take a look at Under Stranger Stars, a top down space shooter. This is a fun title to play. It has a story line, missions, upgrades, and a large map with different sectors and stations to visit and explore. Destroying other ships will often leave drops as well. It's not a cake walk but it's definitely entertaining and fun. The developers description makes it sound like you can blast everything to pieces with your mega weapons but I didn't find it quite as lenient and would recommend a bit more caution and strategy while playing. I did experience a graphics glitch when I died and it was a while before I discovered that leaving my game then continuing from the main menu would fix it, so my video is a good 30 minutes shorter than the actual time I played. I hope it's fixed now but if not just do as I did and you can continue to play your game without an issue. You can see the glitch at 20:02 in the video.
