Brilliant and captivating game. However, DO NOT RELY ON AUTOSAVE. When I needed to go back to my most recent save point, it was autosaved at the beginning of the last room I was in. When I needed to go back to the beginning of the room, it was autosaved at the last boss room I entered. I have no idea when it saves.
This game really makes you feel like you're in an alien environment. Everything looks very, very different and quite vibrant in colour. Storytelling is a bit too convoluted and could be more straightforward.
Very unique game in a genre that I expected to be played out. Unique mechanics, excellent usage of resources to keep them useful throughout the game, fantastic visuals and soundtrack. The combat is not the appeal of this game and is quite simple. Other than that definitely recommended. Played great on the steamdeck.
Ultros is a fun and unique metroidvania with an emphasis on time loops, exploration, and gardening. The game's art direction, music, and sound effects make it feel like a fully unique experience. The combat is fairly simple, but the game's focus is more on exploration and connectivity, so it's much more of a puzzler than a beat-em-up. You haven't played a game like this before!
muito bom de jogar, historia boa mas não é tudo isso, mas a jogabilidade deixa tudo bom nesse jogo
Really enjoyed this game. This is the first style of game like this I’ve actually finished. The focus is much more so on exploration compared to combat, which fits my style. It’s beautiful to look at and music is great. Note: played offline quite a bit so time recorded doesn’t actually match time to beat.
blind buy and turns out to be my 1st metroidvania and it's really good artistically
Overall a very good metroidvania. Good level design and the plant mechanics make up for basic combat and enemy style. Art direction and music are superb. The only real issues were experienced at the end, the game gets a little unstable on your final loop.
Great but trippy.
