UFO: Aftershock

I brought this game first time around 2008-2009 and still have its disc (didn't play it for long time). When saw it on steam for few euros I wanted to add it into collection. Only because good time back then I am not writing harsher review. It is not OS compatibility or hardware that is causing problems. Not to mention annoying launcher!! Game now simply can't be finished even after patching to 1.3 and playing from beginning as 1.3 because something in it messed with triggers and events. Beside that bad ragdoll physics, freezing and game crashing, list doesn't end. Even if you hack save or gamedata you will just bypass one of many issues. I found posts where research "Cultist threat" never appears because its trigger doesn't trigger and that follows with story line research block and impossibility to finish game. I managed to hack and get this research and finish it but block again. Because something else too is needed to progress. I tried for few months to piece this together in free time but I am not willing to bugfix this game. I clearly remember I finished game back then 2009 and tried to install it from cd to see will it work comparing to steam version. No joy. Is it game or some external software that it uses it doesn't work on Win 11 (compatibility settings doesn't help). It makes me wonder how I managed to finish it back then. Accidental correct trigger execution? Who knows. If you manage to finish this game consider yourself lucky.

Игра очень даже не чего.

UFO: Aftershock . A pretty interesting game in a cool futuristic setting with a simultaneous action system. . Controls: Mouse control Space to action after pause F5 save F8 load . Mechanics and features: Interface contains: Actions menu (walk, run, sneak, crawl, use, watch, reliad, wait, quick shot, aimed shot, cancel whole plan, cancel the last planned action) Next area Abort mission Options Equipment Objective System Map Characters choosing Pause, Play, Slow game time, Faster game time.

Very unusual and interesting story for a turn based shooter and great replayability.

Хотел поиграть , ностальгия , но какого х она не идет нормально на 2к ? Теперь уже не рекомендую , разочарование.
