I really, really loved this game. It had so much energy, so much passion put into it and I very much respect that. This is the first game I have 100%'d just because I love it so much. My personal route for this game is joining the writing club, dating Caprice, and befriending Wallace (befriending Allison at a close 2nd). I have only one complaint of this game. Since I prefer the Art Club route, it is very saddening that you never get to meet Mr. Mo (the cat) in that route. That is legitimately my only complaint of this game 10/10, the best game I've ever played.
Another well done Yuri VN from Studio Elan. I do recommend it, however you should play First Snow before playing this. First Snow is a free prequel set about a year before the events of Two Fold. The writing in Two Fold is excellent. The art is superb. The voice acting from everyone is well done. The story has moments of levity & joy and some deeply saddening elements that WILL make you cry. You get to see two different girls & an NB kiss and it is great. Both romance story lines are good but I related more to Millie and the writing club story line just a bit more. Getting it 100% done took me about 13 hours. Definitely worth picking up if anything like that sounds up your alley.
很好很棒的故事和角色,美术真的特别特别漂亮可爱。有时间会推一下另一条线。
Came for the aesthetics, stayed for Caprice
This is a great visual novel - complex emotional conflict, likable characters, and surprisingly great production value. The INCREDIBLE voice acting and excellent sprite work especially stand out. This is another Bellhouse winner.
It's cute, and it has a lot more content than I anticipated for a visual novel. It definitely was worth it's price for me. I never was interested in visual novels, and I'm still probably not, but despite that, I really enjoyed Twofold and First Snow, it's free prequel. If you like visual novels or first snow, you should definitely give it a try.
loved this game!! love the narrative, it hit me hard, i loved the characters a lot. the emotions here and the nuance to the characters was really engaging. the voice acting was great too. loved the game "first snow" (free game set before this one, featuring some of the characters in twofold) so i was basically already sold on twofold here. im so glad i played this, i had a really good time with it!! would recommend
I'm not native speaker, so I may make mistakes. I assume that you have read First Snow. There is no doubt that this is a deluxe sequel to First Snow. It tells a story in two perspectives, and they are all fine. The main story focus on the conflict between Caprice and Millie, while Olive stays like a normal person who do the same thing as we do. This is what makes the twofold clear and logical. A few suggestions: 1. Read the blue story first. (You should know I am talking about Caprice) 2. Take a rest after finish one route. 3. (Kidding) Rethinking and choose Caprice after the true ending. (Personal perspectives taken)
It took a long while to get going, but I enjoyed Twofold and I found its story very sweet and heartwarming (this being the Millie route). The premise and opening is somewhat weak, as the two girls you have to choose between are largely antagonizing the main character, Olive to choose a club. Knowing it's a romance VN, it can feel a bit like 'why would I feel motivated to pick either character as a romance option?' Most of the 'choices' are frontloaded as well and only affect who ends up as Olive's friend at the end of the game. I did find that the romance started to click in Act 2 for Millie and I finally started seeing the chemistry and character development that the early parts really needed. Millie and Olive truly begin to feel like fleshed out characters and the writing quality really picks up once it gets out of the early awkwardness. By Act 3 I had fully flipped from thinking 'why would they like each other' to rooting desperately for Olive and Millie's relationship to provide the foundation Millie needed to move on from the traumas she experiences. The improvement in quality is what makes me recommend this, and I think the ending is a truly beautiful lesson on love, family, and connection. For the subjective things, I found the art a bit generic but the special scenes were good. Found the vast majority of the music to be incredibly bland, though the end credits song is lovely. Whole end credits sequence/epilogue is great, really. I do question the two routes thing though. You will need an entire other playthrough to see the other half of the game, as either the entire cast of side characters for either the art club or writing club don't feature in the game depending on your club of choice.
wanna see how hard i can cry
