About

Twilight Memoria: Sun and Moon is a nostalgic RPG about growing up in a seemingly quiet village, one that you soon discover is full of secrets. You play as two inseparable childhood friends: Rucifar Demien, the spirited son of a famous adventurer, and Luna Silver, a prodigy in alchemy.
Instead of idling away your days, you’ll help villagers, take on requests from the village chief, and uncover the strange mysteries unfolding around you. As Rucifar and Luna’s bond deepens, you’ll begin to explore the unfamiliar feelings of first love, a step into a new world of romance, friendship, and self-discovery.
Through heartfelt interactions, meaningful alchemy choices, and a story filled with warmth and wonder, Sun and Moon captures the spirit of childhood adventures, quiet acts of heroism, and the innocence of falling in love for the very first time.

Battle monsters using an Active Time Battle system where every character, including enemies, acts on their own timer. Rucifar fights on the front lines while Luna supports from behind, healing, crafting bombs, and using items mid-battle. You’ll need quick thinking and teamwork to survive, especially since you're just two kids up against dangerous creatures.
Recreate the joy of mixing wild potions as a kid, throwing in whatever you had and hoping for magic. Craft potions, bombs, and quest items using a flexible ingredient system where recipes only list types, like "Liquid" or "Leaf." It’s up to you whether you choose spring water… or monster blood. Every choice affects the outcome, making experimentation part of the adventure!
Help your neighbors and prove your worth by completing requests from the village chief. From gathering materials to investigating strange happenings, each quest deepens your connection to the community.
Grow alongside Rucifar and Luna as they support each other, challenge expectations, and experience the confusing thrill of first love. Strengthen their bond through shared adventures, meaningful choices, and quiet moments.

One thing about this game, Really Cute! But the battle is not something you could get over so easily at first. This game makes your hand and mind active with it's ATB system. But those battles can be prepared thanks to it's crafting system. It lets you choosing different ingredients just for one potion. It's my first time having a hard time choosing what's best for my potion lol. It's quite unique for a crafting system. For the story, one thing I notice is about the cat lol. Everything starts with that troublesome cat lmfao. Overall, it's a good game. Kudos to the developer.
I've previously played many rpg maker games, and it's pretty comfortable to play them all. It's just that what I feel when playing this game is a new feeling that seems to require adaptation and quite a lot of energy to play a genre that I think is entirely new. Need speed, concentration, pay attention to the atb bar, also don't forget to do blocking. Playing just one hour still can't master the battle at this fast pace. I still detect some bugs, such as in the scene where we are looking for Luna at her house, there is a freeze on the screen, and it just disappears when I minimize the screen. The rest are all fine, and other reviewers have also discussed the pros and cons of this game.
When I tried to play this game, I immediately remembered one of my favorite games in the PS one era, Legend of Legaia, but with the addition of an active time bar that requires hand speed and agility in every fight. At first, I thought it was challenging and impossible for me to finish, but I got used to it after a few battles. The most exciting part, in my opinion, is the crafting item. The elemental system allows you to focus on farming crystal and loot monsters and basic materials that are your primary goals, such as silk or wood. If you manage to get wood with a high elemental level, you are most likely to make weapons with complete and powerful skill abilities. It will make it easier for you to focus on what part you will struggle with. In my playthrough case, I tried to make the primary wood for Rucifar's weapon with the best elemental value; if possible, the average level was 20. After getting the weapon then I continued the main quest to the next chapters. Overall this is the exciting part of this game. Trust me; it gives you a lot of fun. I'm pretty happy; this is a pretty good game when I play it. Hopefully, the developer next project in the future will be better and get enough attention from fans of PC games.
- So fun to play, rating 90/100
This is new for me to experience the new battle system in RPG I still learn to get it but overall i think it should be promising game. But i must say maybe you can give the map more classic because it makes me confuse, also you can give minimap somewhere so we can tell where our character
Twilight Memoria, developed by YSY Softworks in collaboration with Twilight and published by indie.io, is a 2D narrative-driven role-playing game that leans heavily into nostalgia while centering its story on personal growth, friendship, and the emotional turbulence of youth. Built with a classic pixel-art presentation and structured in the tradition of retro Japanese RPGs, the game prioritizes character relationships and atmosphere over sprawling geopolitical conflicts or apocalyptic stakes. Rather than immediately throwing players into a grand war or world-ending prophecy, it begins on a smaller, more intimate scale, grounding its adventure in the daily lives of its young protagonists. The story follows Rucifar Demien and Luna Silver, two childhood friends whose bond forms the emotional core of the experience. Rucifar, energetic and driven by the desire to follow in his father’s adventuring footsteps, contrasts with Luna, a quiet but brilliant alchemist whose intellect and creativity often guide their journey. Early segments of the game revolve around helping villagers, completing small quests, and exploring their peaceful hometown. These modest beginnings allow players to become familiar with the world and its inhabitants, fostering a sense of connection before the narrative gradually escalates. As mysterious disturbances begin to threaten their village, the tone shifts from everyday life to something more uncertain and ominous. Combat in Twilight Memoria adopts a hybrid system that blends turn-based structure with active timing elements. Rather than static menus with rigid turn orders, characters and enemies act according to individual timers, requiring players to remain attentive throughout encounters. This creates a rhythm that feels more fluid than traditional turn-based combat while still allowing space for strategic decision-making. Rucifar generally fills the role of frontline attacker, wielding direct physical abilities, while Luna’s strength lies in support and alchemical innovation. This complementary design encourages players to think in terms of synergy rather than raw damage output alone. Alchemy serves as one of the game’s most distinctive mechanics. Instead of relying on fixed crafting recipes, the system allows experimentation based on broad ingredient categories. Items are classified by properties such as liquid, mineral, or plant-based, and combining them can yield a variety of outcomes. This open-ended approach fosters creativity and rewards experimentation, especially when players discover powerful or unexpected mixtures. The system extends beyond simple item crafting; it reinforces Luna’s narrative role as a creative problem-solver and adds depth to both combat preparation and quest progression. Narratively, Twilight Memoria focuses on the evolving relationship between its two protagonists. Their conversations, disagreements, and moments of vulnerability are given ample space within the story. Themes of self-doubt, aspiration, and emotional growth surface frequently, giving the game a coming-of-age tone. Rather than rushing from one plot point to another, the pacing allows character development to unfold gradually. This emphasis on emotional storytelling may not appeal to players seeking relentless action, but it provides meaningful depth for those who appreciate character-driven narratives. Visually, the game embraces a retro-inspired pixel art style that pays homage to classic RPGs. Environments are colorful and thoughtfully constructed, with towns, forests, and dungeons presented in a style reminiscent of early console-era adventures. Character sprites, though limited in animation, convey personality effectively through expressive poses and dialogue portraits. The aesthetic reinforces the nostalgic atmosphere without feeling overly derivative, striking a balance between homage and individuality. Despite its strengths, Twilight Memoria is not without shortcomings. Some players may encounter difficulty spikes, particularly in random encounters or boss battles where enemy damage output feels disproportionate. Resource management can become demanding in certain sections, potentially leading to grinding for experience or materials. Additionally, technical inconsistencies such as minor bugs or uneven audio balancing may occasionally interrupt immersion. These issues do not overshadow the game entirely but can momentarily disrupt the otherwise heartfelt experience. Ultimately, Twilight Memoria stands as a narrative-focused RPG that values emotional resonance and character relationships above spectacle. Its alchemy system introduces creative gameplay variety, while its combat mechanics provide steady engagement. Though technical roughness and balance concerns may affect pacing at times, the game’s charm lies in its sincerity. For players who enjoy retro aesthetics paired with intimate storytelling and thematic exploration of youth and friendship, Twilight Memoria offers a thoughtful and nostalgic adventure grounded in personal growth rather than epic scale. If I were to say something good about this game, it would be that I appreciate that, for a RPG Maker game, it does have it's own sprites and art, not only just the stock ones. If I were to name something bad about this game: - story is basic and the fact that it censors it's own title cause it would be a "spoiler", the fact that they felt like saying that to me in the first minute, after asking me IF I WANT TO SEE THE INTRO, makes me expect bad writing and not feel curious - the said original art and sprites are not consistent, between the walking pixelated instanced world, background dialogue and character designs and combat background, ground and character design, makes the game feel cheaply put together with mostly stock assets and childish doodles - little to no audio - vendors are not vendoring, just sitting in the middle of the forest, pretty far away from a house, only next to a big rock or campfire, how am I supposed to believe they are selling 10 barrels with just dresses, not even cargo pants, where's the big-10-barrel-pockets at? - combat is "action" in the way that you have to input directional keys and launch them, then block sometimes, feels more like a "we'll make you press many buttons so it will feel more of a game" - same with gathering, they introduced quick time events that you can even fail, "ups, I guess I failed to pick up grass, I dropped it out of my hand and out of existence, clumsy me" - it's always a treat to get achievements with no art at all, that sure would make me want to get them, the gray squares, yes, yes... just take some screenshots! But I'm not saying anything.
Very funny jrpg game with cheerful and colorful dialogues, i like the silly dialogues at the beginning of the game. Not very familiar with the battle system but I'll try to play it more when I have time. Luminous Luminous
