Travel around vampire's town while visiting different buildings. Everything costs in this game so in order to buy some stuff go to work at lab, after that work 2x or even 3x harder (no joke) until you become an expert (no joke again). You can go to tavern and eat some stuff to restore vigor and mana (demon's blood is available btw). You can buy decorations for your crypt and rest during the day (but there's always night). Take on a missions at city hall. Get a pet, choice is divided between animals or some nasty creatures. There's a bit of HOG but not that much. Clearly a parody game but with some serious humor (not intended).
Вампирская гриндилка «Twilight City: Love as a Cure» — это игра в жанре Point&Click, разработанная компанией Meridian’93 и выпущенная издательством 1С.
GRIN, GRIND, GRIND, BLUE SCREEN, GRIND, GRIND, BLUE SCREEN, GRIND, GRIND, BLUE SCREEN, LOSE PROGRESS AND DO OVER AGAIN. i have never had so many blue screens in such a short time in my life. Throughout the game i have had 10 blue screens!!! i am glad that my system is still ok after that. the only thing that got messed up were some of my system folders having black background behind them :/ I was ok with the grindy aspect of the game. I wouldn't call it an HOG as it really only had 3 HO scenes in total I believe but I would have recommended it, if it wasn't for all those freaking blue screens!!!! I reinstalled the game, I moved it from hard drive to another, I did everything I could. Not even compatibility mode helped. I wasted 2 hours of playing as I lost progress one time. I was still determined to finish the game and it took me about 4 hours to 100% it with all jobs on expert 3x I do not recommend the game if you have a very beefy and MODERN PC. It seems to have allergy against SSDs, NVMes and/or high speed RAM at least that's what I could get out of the blue screen errors.
I've played enough time management games and HOGs to notice that most of them are basically clones of each other. The gameplay is very similar and there's very little innovation. Don't get me wrong - it's completely alright to want to play something that's "almost the same" as the previous sequel but sometimes, I just long for something different... ...and then comes Twilight City: Love as a Cure! This game feels a lot like a hybrid game containing multiple genres with its main focus being a clicker of sorts. You'll need to click a lot in this game whether it is to learn a new spell or skill, or perform your job to earn some money. It also has some RPG elements where you'll need to complete quests, most of which aren't relevant or related to the storyline, and "upgrade" your stats in order to unlock better paying jobs or new lessons.
Watch me play!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4jehBP2Ryk There's a bit of resource management involved as well here since you'll want to maximize every click, every movement on the map, and every purchase you make so that you won't "waste any time" running all over the map or waste any of your hard-earned coins buying a lower grade item when you could have saved a little bit more to buy something better. P/S: You don't get any refunds when you "trade in" your old item to buy a better one, which is unfortunate. This means that it's much better to save up and buy the best item in the store rather than buying something inferior and then scrapping up another pile of money to buy the next best item in the list. Oh, and you can't get multiple items from the same category - keep this in mind! Twilight City also comes with a few hidden object scenes for you to enjoy, but unlike true HOGs, these HO scenes feel more like mini-games rather than being an integral part of the gameplay. They only appear more often at the beginning of the game and it kind of tapers off when you approach the ending. And of course, there's the storyline. As cheesy as it may sound, which is just perfect since I'm playing this game one day before Valentine's Day 😊, Twilight City puts you through the grueling journey of changing from an immortal, a vampire, back into a mortal human all in the name of human you've fallen in love with. Ahh.... the stuff we do for love 🙂
Pros
+ A nice melting pot of genres that makes this game so refreshingly unique + Clicker-style gameplay that can be relaxing to play for some. Note that not everyone enjoys playing clickers; some may find the game "pointless" to play + A rather cheesy story about the extremes someone (you) would go to for a loved one + Great soundtrack and graphics (on par with or better than some time management games that I've played before)
Cons/Feedback
- Typos and grammar - "your" when it's supposed to be "you"; the game addressing me as a "man" when I choose to play as a "woman", etc. - For 2-3 hours of play time (for a single playthrough), $6.99 (full price) is definitely a bit on the higher end. Wait for a steep discount!
Overall
Twilight City: Love as a Cure is one of those rare and unique hybrid games that can only resonate well with a specific niche of players despite being rather fun to play. Don't buy the game at full price though! The game goes on sale a lot often than you'd think 😉
Side Note

If you like this review and would like to follow me for more, please feel free to drop by my curator page: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/33780629-The-Midcore-Gamer/
Granted, TC:LaaC is dated and there are nicer hybrid Point&Click/Manager games, but the visuals are still fine and the fact that I cleared it in one sitting tells me it is okay and not a total mess. From a game play perspective this is more a clicker than anything else (I think there are only 3 Hidden Object scenes in the entire game); the economy, however, is broken since you can earn any amount of money via work (I recommend to take a job in the laboratory, this allows you to buy vigor/mana potions when you run out of steam). The decoration/furniture/cloth/etc aspect is a nice idea but I wish there would be a stronger story. On the bright side, I encounter no noticeable errors/bugs. All in all, expendable but still good for a few hours if you don't expect much.
A game plagued by game breaking bugs that the developers never bothered to fix years and years later. Stay away.

Twilight City: Love as a Cure is a somewhat shoddy browser clicker/time management game that seems to have been dumped on Steam as a cash grab. It's got a basic web browser like 2D interface. Gameplay consists of choosing what to do with your daily resources (work to expend money or buy stuff and try to gain "progress". There's a gothic/nocturnal/vampire theme that's just window dressing for a very shallow resource/time juggling clicker. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. Problematically, the user interface for this game is just a 2D text heavy panel with a few static images... it might as well be a browser game. And we all know, Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. If the game can be done in a web browser, it's just not rich or compelling enough to appeal to serious gamers. The game features extremely lazy, minimalist "art", of the type you normally expect to see in low effort Flash/browser games and mobile apps. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Twilight City: Love as a Cure has an overly optimistic price of around $7 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam. You can play far better games like this for free on the web or on mobile phones, so there's no justification for the price here.
Well, it was.. something))) Not bad something, and I've had fun, that for sure. This is small game, without big quests and pressure, you can't fail anyway, so you're playing and relaxing. And I must say I'm satisfied) But.. if I was vampire I'll never return into mortal life))))
