Quick Description: -Tunic is a beautiful action adventure game heavily inspired by the Legend of Zelda. Death's Door is probably the the most similar modern Indie game by comparison, although I do think that Tunic is better in most ways. This game looks gorgeous visually, has a stellar soundtrack, and has some of the most creative exploration and secret hunting ever implemented. Slowly finding pages of the manual to learn all of the mechanics of the game is brilliant and is the star of the show. Occasionally, I would accidentally figure out a mechanic that would be crucial to the game moving forward, which is incredibly rewarding. This is truly a special game! Consensus: -Excellent Game (Tie 2 and makes up 25% of my reviews). The reason that I didn't give Tunic my highest score is b/c of how frustrating a few of the late game choices are. I will never understand why devs insist upon a late game mechanic that temporarily takes away all of your stats. I don't know if I've ever met anyone that thinks this is fun, interesting, or compelling. While figuring out everything through discovery or through finding the manual pages is extremely rewarding, the flip side to that is that it is incredibly frustrating when you accidentally miss a page or two. This game is one of a kind, but it is not for everyone. It's also on the shorter side (10-15 hrs for a non completionist playthrough). Fans of Link's Awakening will absolutely love this game!

It's just one step away from entering my personal hall of fame of complete masterpices. If only it delivered more on the
emotional / story
side it would be absolutely perfect. A shame, but it's still an extrodinary, great game. If you want to be surprised and challenged in a non-standard way, and/or looking for a specimen of the rare metroidbrania genre, this is it 100%.
Very good game, deserves to be called a metroidbrainia, lovely style of both in game graphics and manual, good music, overall great experience

De los juegos de aventura más puros que he jugado👍🏻
Tunic unceremoniously dumps you in its world, leaving you to explore and figure things out yourself. One of the main gimmicks, if you're not already familiar with the game, is that you collect pages of the game's manual in your exploration, which is supposed to slowly flesh out the world, tell you what's going on and reveal secrets. There's no real direction at the outset - indeed at least one of the achievements is for using hidden routes to skip the intended one - and it extends out into text boxes being gibberish and not telling you what items do until you pick up their relevant page or try them out through trial and error. If you're a big fan of Metroidvanias or similar exploration games, I can see why Tunic would really appeal to you and maybe I could recommend it in that case, especially on sale. Unfortunately, I personally found it kind of obtuse and what goodwill I had remaining was eroded by the controls feeling a little slow and clunky.
Scratches many nostalgic parts of my brain. Well crafted and very well paced
It's good. Great concept. Fox is really cute. Reading the instructions is important. Very fun game.
