TROUBLESHOOTER: Abandoned Children is the first season of a turn-based strategy SRPG that takes place in the world of Troubleshooter.

Valhalla is a free trading nation erected by three world powers for their own benefits after the world war. In an attempt to control the nation, the three world powers banned the army from Valhalla. Due to these circumstances, public order in Valhalla is always unstable and thus after ten years the Valhalla government made a bold decision.
The Valhalla government granted civilians the right to investigate and arrest criminals in order to lower the rising crime rate. People call them Troubleshooter.
10 years have passed since the introduction of the troubleshooter system. Albus, a 20-year-old young man, becomes an official troubleshooter. Albus first starts his company on his own but soon takes in many colleagues as he solves more cases. All these new members of the company have their own motivations and stories. You will be experiencing a variety of missions in Valhalla through their stories.

All characters in Troubleshooter have their own unique classes. Each character can rank up to the upper class, and the role of your character changes according to the class.
All characters in Troubleshooter can acquire various masteries according to their levels and classes. Furthermore, you can activate additional effects by combinations of masteries. Utilizing this, you can make a character for your unique strategy.
Such masteries can be acquired by leveling your character up. However, in most cases, you can acquire masteries from enemies. In other words, you can take your enemies' unique traits and apply them to your characters.
There are more than 100 unique missions in Troubleshooter. All missions are designed independently, and all of them have their own unique circumstances.
Troubleshooter uses more than 500 cut scenes to portray the story.
As new characters join your company, playable content will be unlocked according to their roles. For example, if you recruit a hunter character, you will be able to tame beasts. You will be able to craft drones if you recruit engineers.

I like game but there's a few things you should probably know before buying, this is episode 1 of a series, episode 2 is currently being worked on but considering this game took 10 years to go from early access to fully released keep your hopes realistic on the sequel. This game is VERY long being 100 hours to beat and i feel like i spent close to an 40 minutes on average per mission, Time for the pros and cons Pros: . Builds for each characters feel fun to come up with, unique and impactful .game art and illustrations are nice and helps express the world and its characters .The story is good but there's a lot of it, and a few plot points are left unfinished but are going to be addressed in episode 2 .Most characters have a fun distinct design and although some characters get more screen time, each one gets fleshed well enough even a few side characters get some but not a lot of limelight, a bonus is that everything between these characters feels interconnected and each one has a reason to see each other Cons .the biggest most glaring issue is the localization, its very legible and readable but i feel as if the story and character development suffers because a lot of things are delivered serviceably rather than good which sucks because the art, voice acting, and designs really tell you who your looking at but the dialog leaves you with bones of something good instead a full thing .the UI is a bit clunky but its not the worst thing in the world .A few times throughout the game you are prompted multiple decisions but it doesn't matter a good chunk of the time, sometimes you'll get different scenes or rewards but i don't feel that it adds a lot to the game .if you have played tactical rpgs before your probably expecting 10-30 enemies, in this game the average feels like 30-70 enemies with one story map having around 90 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ENEMIES (not including violent cases which are a alternate type of mission including even more enemies than normal) , i play a lot of fire emblem so i'm used to hordes of enemies but good ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is there alot Closing thoughts I know it seems like i pointed out the flaws more than i did the stuff it does right but im putting recommended for a reason, the story engaged me and left me with wanting more, i love the characters the game has, its not too hard or too easy, the music is nice but just nice, i also feel slightly biased watching the credits and looking incredibly small team size considering the scope of the game
The best game ever! I am happy to buy it in steam
I'm not the kind of guy that posts a lot of reviews but I feel like Troubleshooter Abandoned Children is so criminally underrated that I had to. This is truly a hidden gem that is generously priced that I would recommend to anyone that likes the Xcom style combat and dosen't mind the anime esthetics. The story is quite good aswell, you can tell that the devs from Dandylion created this as a project of passion. I will be keeping my eyes out for a hopefully Troubleshooter 2 that I've heard might be in the works! Do not hesitate, jump in and start troubleshooting :D
A complex strategy turn-based game. Although it would be good to have an english dub.
Gameplay is great. Plot is... not. Fair enough for translation issues but it's long winded and repeats itself and doesn't have any resolution. Half the missions are designed horribly and waste your time by making you watch dozens and dozens of enemy moves, but somehow enemy variety is very limited. The bosses seems interesting and unique at first, but then you spend the entire game fighting and "arresting" the same 10 guys over and over. By contrast the mechanics are deep and (mostly) fun to mess around with. Masteries combining with class skills to make combos is fun. Whole game would have been better with no side quests and no crafting system though. Overall fun to play, but an incredibly frustrating and time-wasting experience. If you're going to get it do yourself a favor and skip all of the cutscenes. I promise you they are not building up to anything anyway.
