Another good and fun game for the Trine series, and the art is as marvelous as ever
Big fan of the Trine games, I have played the first 4 and always enjoyed them. Finally getting to play this Trine 5 in co-op, I've done all the previous ones in single player. They still keep coming up with really cool puzzles to solve with these three characters. The introduction to new abilities for each character as you progress through the campaign is very cool and you can spend points to unlock modifications for them. None are needed and mostly change up how they work in combat. Boss fights are pretty cool, but the puzzles/platforming is the real star here as always and it does it well. Around 4 hours in so far, around chapter 8 I think, and there was only 1 puzzle we got stuck on and had to look it up on YouTube mostly because we just didn't know something was possible to do. Figured everything else out so far and some of them are in ways that I'm not sure if it's how the devs intended, and those are always the coolest things I love with games like this and Portal when you do that. My only gripe with the game is that the camera sometimes gets in the way, like it follows the other player off in a direction and now I can't see a section on my end. I hope they can find a way to avoid this for Trine 6 which is releasing soon and we're excited to play.
