So where do I even begin with this long list... AHHA! So let's start with the price of the base game 55.50 (for the Swiss once) ok that's actually not that reasonable for three routes and the base game. Now let's get to the outrageous part. Best example For the add on Br 101 + Ic control car you pay as much as the fu**ing base game! and it's just that Not even a Single route! ok ok let's look further. For the DB G6 Diesel Shunter you pay the normal price (watch out, that's the CH price again) fu**ing 21.99 just for the diesel locomotive! What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rip-off is that! And to be allowed to drive it in the reversing turn you HAVE to own the Reihn-Ruhr OSt route HA Guess what, squeeze in 33.50 as if the locomotive wasn't already expensive Enough! Let me tell you one thing: The game is a rip-off and a complete scam. Yes, okay, now you can say, "The person who bought it says that, yes, but that's not the point." It's about the fact that you get minimal conditions for a high price. In other words, you pay a lot but get complete garbage that isn't even finished. Bad graphics, etc. I don't need to say anything else. The game is a complete scam and is just after your money. I know there aren't many games that are graphically advanced for a Base game Tell me if i'm wrong, but then you'd be better spending money on TRAIN SIMULATOR CLASSIC. The train simulation has everything a train lover want. All routes from Switzerland to I don't know, but it's much more valuable than ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ TSW. Even though TSC was also developed by Dovetail, and yes, TSC's DLC isn't that cheap either, BUT you get something for three DLCs, even if it's not as good quality. On average, you get around €70 for three DLCs in TSC (or whatever currency you use, it always varies), while for Three DLCs in TSW you are paying around €90-110 or so, and that's a rip-off and a scam. Sorry, but I'd rather play a game where the graphics aren't that great but there's a selection of tracks that's still affordable. So don't get ripped off and don't get it under any circumstances. They'll just take your money and you'll get nothing. IT HAS Nice graphics yes but for what they pull off, the game is not worth it

Je peux pas mettre d'avis positif pour la simple et bonne raisons que ce jeu c'est pire qu'un gacha. A raison d'un sortie par an, on a consécutivement TSW5 en 2024, TSW4 en 2023, TSW3 en 2022 à environs 35€ pièce en version normal. Evidemment on a la version deluxe pour des dizaines d'euros supplémentaires. Comment ne pas se sentir enfiler profond lorsqu'on on investit dans la version de l'année en cours pour que quelques mois aprés on se retrouve avec une version obsolète parce qu'ils en sortent un nouveau l'année suivante ? Vous me direz, peut être qu'il y a de grosses améliorations ? Bha non, on repolit vite fait l'interface, un chouilla les graphismes mais pas trop (faut en garder pour l'année prochaine hein), les fonctionnalités, perso je vois pas de diffèrence. J'ai mal au séant. Ensuite, voyons voir, ah oui les DLC. Ahhh les DLC, Alors je veux bien entendre (difficilement) qu'il y a du taf de modélisation mais non en fait, à partir 16ep pour UN train faut pas déconner là. Non franchement non, je me ferais pas avoir pas TSW5, je me suis déjà bien fait enfler entre le 3 et le 4. Aprés, le jeu n'est pas si mauvais que ca, c'est juste le côté pompe à fric trop voyant et vulgaire, pire qu'un gacha je vous dis.

UPDATE: Dovetail is offering the base game for TSW 5 for free for 30 days from launch (today), and will automatically transfer your DLC to the new game free of charge. This is a big improvement and does mostly address my issue, but it isn't perfect considering how the free version is only available for a month after launch. That still feels a bit ♥♥♥♥♥♥ for players who may have not realised this is available and missed the free upgrade window. AFAIK DLC will still transfer for free afterwards but you will be forced to buy one of the route packs if you miss the free upgrade offer. --- I am really upset that Dovetail just wants to keep pumping out game after game rather than committing to one and progressively upgrading it. An example of a good way to maintain a simulator is ETS 2/ATS. The developers haven't moved onto a new game, but rather release occasional DLC expansions that are well-made and worth the money. Dovetail would rather just keep releasing new TSW games and then re-releasing all the DLC so you have to pay them lots of money again. I do not want to enable this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ behaviour so I won't be buying TSW5 or any of its DLC. Dovetail also seems to not care about actually fixing problems either. The shader compilation bug has plagued this game for ages and remains unsolved. The community has proven that the problem is fixable with configuration changes, and now there are new Unreal games that also prove this is fixable. Firstly, this game doesn't seem to cache shaders for some reason. You would expect the stutter to become less of a problem as you play, but the game doesn't appear to do any shader caching which results in constant shader compilation stutter. It makes the game nearly unplayable. Another example of how this could be done is The Finals. Being a competitive multiplayer shooter, shader compilation lag is a big problem. The developers solved this issue simply by just compiling all the shaders at first launch or whenever an update happens. It does require the user to wait a minute or so for everything to process, but it's worth it for the nearly eradicated shader compilation stuttering. Elite Dangerous (while not an Unreal engine game) also does the same thing and prevents this problem from occurring. Dovetail could take the time to implement these fixes to benefit players, but they don't seem to care apparently.

Just shoddy work running all the way through. The developer is relying on the users enthusiasm for rail in addition to the lack of competing product.
