About
Three goddesses decide to leave their island home to visit Athens. After demonstrating rare powers, they become targets of both gods and succubi.
Tragedy of Medusa is a short linear visual novel with some animations. Estimated game play is less than 2 hours. Tragedy of Medusa is the prequel to Euryale's Gambit.
While based roughly on the ancient Greek myth, Tragedy of Medusa is not the story you remember. This story takes place in a world where gods walk among men, demons run rampant and succubi toy with all. Tragedy of Medusa respects the major events of the classic tale, but tweaks the world in which those events take place as well as the motivation of the characters behind those events.

Extended Description:
Medusa is the youngest of three sisters known as "Gorgons". While her other sisters have incredible powers, Medusa feels out of place without any special abilities. She contemplates leaving her sisters during their trip to Athens. Things go wrong however when she discovers the Olympians are murdering other gods. Medusa finds herself as their latest victim only to be saved at the last moment by her sister, Euryale.
During the rescue, Athena, an Olympian leader, witnesses Medusa's sister Euryale using lust energy -an energy typically only used by Succubi. Athena calls upon the Succubus Queens to explain and possibly teach her this ability in an alliance Olympians against the demons. Queen Eisheth, the third Succubus Queen, rejects their offer and sends her younger sister Queen Igret on a quest to find these "Gorgons" and see for themselves their strange abilities.
Meanwhile, once the Gorgons' mother, Ceto, learns what happened to Medusa in Athens, she begins to attack the coastlines of Olympian cities as the sea-monster "Cetus". Athena sends Perseus to capture one of the gorgon sisters both to study and as a hostage against Cetus.

Please follow United Critics for quality reviews
Tragedy of Medusa Review
Tragedy of Medusa is a NSFW visual novel game that tells the story of… and let me quote the steam store description “Three sisters who are goddesses decide to leave their island to visit Athens in the middle of a war waged by gods, demons and succubi”. Be aware that this game is still on early access and in its current state only has around 1 hour of playable content. So far this hasn’t been relevant to the plot, but just be aware that it’s a prequel of one of my favorite games of 2022 (for the wrong reasons): Euryale's Gambit. Also keep in mind that this game’s targeted audience is straight males.
Questions you might have if you're interested in playing it:

What is it exactly that you do in the game? It’s a visual novel where you click on stuff, read dialogue, make decisions over random choices that can sometimes pop-out on the screen, explore locations and chat with NPCs in order to progress the story… and you obviously watch nsfw short videos and slideshows.
Will it make my eyes bleed? It’s the same graphics as Euryale's Gambit. At best it looks decent at worst… well, like an early PS2 game. Some characters look really good, others bad and some really unlucky ones have a face that only a mother can love. Most backgrounds are fine… except the panoramic views of the city, it has low quality texture and buildings with very low details. As for the NSFW bits, they are “fine” but short, nothing to complain there.
Does it have a good story? Since this game in its current state offers only 1 hour of gameplay, it’s hard for me to know how good or bad the story of Tragedy of Medusa is or is going to be. All that I can tell is that for better and for worse this game is definitely less crazy than Euryale's Gambit. I personally miss how crazy was the original game and I hope the dev decides to pick up the narrative in future updates. Characters are not interesting and I didn’t care about what I was reading on screen.
Does it have a good soundtrack? It's fine. What matters for a good soundtrack of a game is to enhance the gameplay and the story. The OST for this game kind of does that, but not particularly well. The best thing that I can say about it is that it didn’t annoy me, but I don’t like it. Again it’s fine.
Does it have replay value? The game sometimes offers you the opportunity to pick a route with choices but I played this game twice and the differences so far are not that big. So I would say “for now, none”.
Does it run well? It runs flawlessly. When the game was running on my rig it used around 3% of my GPU and CPU resources. It’s a game that is not very demanding and I didn’t have any problems with it. There is not much else to say.
Is it fun? For now, no.

Is this game worth my hard earned money?
Tragedy of Medusa in its current state isn’t particularly enjoyable or long. All the crazy bits that I loved from the previous game are gone and instead this game offers you a rather below average experience… but at least it only asks you $4 for it. I have to be honest I don’t think in its current state it is worth paying the $4. My advice, skip it for now and wait for updates. Rating: 4/10 This is Below average.
The Plot Thickens
Tragedy of Medusa is a short prequel of Euryale’s Gambit that focuses on the events before the war against the Olympians and how Igret&co met the gorgons. Story-wise it's so enjoyable I got hooked instantly despite how linear it is. You have plenty of choices during the game, but the only difference between picking one option or the other is who you have sex with in the sex scenes. Plot-wise it doesn't change anything; you'll always be too late to save Medusa, no matter what you pick. As for the art, the recurring characters look as good as they did in the first game, and the new ones are beautiful—except for the random spartan, he's a bit in the uncanny valley. I especially liked Cassandra and Eisheth's design since they are hot and I'd 100% let Eisheth step on m—*ahem* sorry, the horniness got the best of me for a moment. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2885891718 The best part about Tragedy of Medusa is most of the issues I had with Euryale's Gambit are gone, especially the lack of music. It now has a pretty good soundtrack and SFX that help you get immersed in the story. It still has some unnecessarily silent moments, but I'm willing to cut them some slack because it's still in Early Access. All in all, Tragedy of Medusa is a short but enjoyable VN that adds backstory to the main game. It's not finished yet, but you should check it out anyways if you liked Euryale's Gambit and you don't mind waiting until it's complete. It won't disappoint you. "Tragedy of Medusa" is an adult story rich vn. It's chronologically the first in the Gorgon trilogy and a prequel to "Euryale's Gambit". The trilogy is worth your time, if you like fiction. The story is really good but keep in mind that this universe has its own rules and it's only inspired by mythology. It mixes a lot of different mythologies and historical facts but he has also created his own lore. There are no plot holes or inconsistencies. Nobody acts outside of character and nothing happens that will make you wonder "How did this happen? This shouldn't had happened according to XYZ thing!". This prequel shows the background story of the sisters and how things came to be. If you start with it, it will surpise you. If you play it second, it's touching and interesting; it gives depth to our beloved characters. I don't want to spoil anything so I'll just say that this is the story of 3 gorgons trying to survive! See them discovering their powers, adapting to changes of their world, overcoming the impossible or failing in the process! Nothing plays a bigger role than love... The writing has some minor errors but nothing that will create any problem with understanding it. The soundtrack accompanies it and changes in rhythm when the situation calls for this. The artificial voice acting might or might not work for you, it's not a feature I would recommend it for but it's not annoying either. The graphics are ok but lacking details in the background. They might feel strange at times. Regardless, there is great effort in the scenes themself, especially when they contain a character or want to show emotion and action. Just like an old comic-strip you get a fast small change in still images to create the feeling of movement. And it succeeds in this! It's very pleasant, especially on naughtier scenes! Apart from an interesting story, it has interesting love and sex scenes that vary from vanilla to wild fetishes. You get the option to select the content you wish to see. You can replay it to chose an alternative option or see different content. The choices here matter only to view different scenes or to see how you can fail. There is one true ending with all the others being different ways you can go wrong. It's shorter in lenght than the rest and it reflects on the price. For this price, I definitely recommend it. It's a very interesting story with many hot scenes! Don't miss it! For more reviews, follow my curator https://store.steampowered.com/curator/44864435-Mewesome-Reviews/
While this prequel wasn’t bad, I’d say "Tragedy of Medusa" was a step down from “Euryale’s Gambit” in most cases. The animations were better, but the conversations came across as stilted, and the choices didn’t alter the story at all in most cases. And when they did, it was only a very minor change to the overall plot, such as not showing a particular scene and having it be implied instead. (5/10) The adult content was sometimes good, but the sisters didn’t have any proper erotic interactions with each other, even though it’s implied that they do more than kiss. Meanwhile, there is a straight one of the same proclivity, and I felt it was a shame the three sisters weren’t presented with any exciting opportunities for erotic fun as well, for those with a soft spot for that particular fetish. A bit of voyeurism and some kissing was as far as it went. Also, this prequel lacked many of the adult themes I enjoyed in Euryale’s Gambit, such as futanari content. Finally, while the store description claims this game has a “Lesbian-only route,” that’s only partly true. You can avoid most straight content, but there’s a scene where Medusa is assaulted early on. Most of what’s happening to her is concealed, and the visuals are not explicit; only a dude’s naked rear is shown, but you can tell what’s happening. It’s similar to an early scene in Euryale’s Gambit, and while I wouldn’t say it’s an outright lie to claim these two games have optional lesbian-only routes, it isn’t the whole truth. All in all, I’d have liked to give this game a neutral review, but since that’s not possible, I’d say it’s closer to good than bad. It’s short, often mediocre, but with sporadic moments where it’s genuinely great, hot, or exciting, depending on the situation. (5/10)
English:
This AVN is an approximately 1-hour long prequel that shows the events leading up to Euryale's Gambit. I've only played Tragedy of Medusa, I'm not familiar with the other games, so I don't know exactly how much this prequel added to the story. What I can say about this game, however, is that you shouldn't expect miracles in terms of graphics and technology. There is no gallery, but the game is short and has only about 5 animated scenes in total. Most of the action in these scenes takes place between girls. There are no sounds during the animations, only background noises and beautiful music that fits the theme. There are choices to be made during the game, but they don't change the story at all and the ending is always the same. So, to sum up, it's not the best AVN, but it's not bad either! For €1, I think it's okay during the sale. I haven't seen many other AVN games with a Greek mythology theme, so I had to snap it up during the -69% sale :D
Everything looks rough and unfinished — renders, animations and even music. There are very few adult scenes as well. But at the end of the short journey, I'm invested in the characters. Onto Euryale's Gambit then...
